Norwegian citizens are members of the US Visa Waiver program, but please check your passport:
All VWP travelers must present machine-readable passports. Machine-readable passports issued before 10/26/05 – no further requirements. Machine-readable passports issued after 10/26/05 must have a digital photograph printed on the data page or an integrated chip with information from the data page.

Norway is part of the Visa Waiver Program so you would not need one to visit the USA just bring your passport. I think the length of stay is 90 days.

please contact local pass port office .ypu may be lucky or else write to your friends over there at Norway as you you are planning.get in writing and then go to local passport office .
