To have a tourny where the caddies played each other and the golfers carried the bags? I think it would be. I'd be curious to see how they handled to role reversal. Do anyone know if they ever have had one?

Since I can't respond to my own question I'll put it here. Why can't caddies play for money?

The caddies that play golf have times they sneak out and play the other caddies for fun. I'm sure they have some events they put together
Caddies playing for money - I'm sure the make bets like most golfers but when it comes to tournament golf the USGA has set strict rules for amateur golfers. The caddies our not tour type players and would enjoy playing amateur events versus pro events. When a player plays in a event for money they can no longer play amateur events. I'm sure a lot of them would not want to lose their status for one event. Plus everyone wants to see the pros. You might enjoy watching something like that on ESPN, but it want bring in the crowds like the pros do.

They do that every once in a while on Shells Wonderful world of Golf.
Since Caddies cant play for real money they make a donnation in thier name to a charity.
Last i saw was Phil Mickleson & Fred Couples on Shell.
they picked up thier caddies bags for a 3 hole contest,
Freddies guy won $10000 for a charity

alot of caddies play on mondays with their winnings, there are alot of single digit handicappers carrying bags on tour... but as for players carrying others bags, don't hold your breath, i think half of them would have heart failure, those tour bags are heavy as ****
