I used to work as a R.N. on psychiatric units in 2 hospitals for
over 20 years. No! Once a person has schizophrenia or Bipolar
Disorder, they have it for the rest of their life. There are medicines
that can reduce or eliminate the symptoms but they have to be prescribed by a doctor. Vitamins won't do it!
These diseases are serious and they need serious medicines!

Strip out bipolar and the meds and you have an alcoholic residing an relatively time-honored development all people whose lived with an alcoholic would comprehend. Alcohol messes with medicine. His meds won't be working as they might desire to. many those with bipolar self-medicate. on occasion it relatively is dependancy. on occasion it relatively is a misguided quest to sense extra regular. Ask him to attend his next psychiatrist appointment and ask that or no longer it relatively is an prolonged bypass to than regular. tell your husband you opt for to extra advantageous comprehend the ailment, medicine, and how ingesting performs in. in my view, i'd tell him you're unwell of the crap and sense such as you're allowing an alcoholic somewhat of helping somebody with bipolar. The ailment appears like an excuse to me. i'm bipolar. I grew up in an alcoholic kin. there's a difference between the ailment and ingesting.

no, not much u can do to prevent these psychiatric conditions, try to stay calm and don't get depressed, being depressed increases your risk for developing a psychiatric disorder. easier said than done, but unless you have a family history, then having alot of stress and anxiety is the most common cause!
