in a pan or microwave

I do mine in the microwave. It comes out crispy & non-greasy this way:

Take 4 slices (Nueske's is best if you can find it)... take out a large dinner plate and make a double-layer of toweling on it. Place the 4 slices of bacon on the toweling. Take 2 more layers of toweling and cover the bacon.

Microwave about 3 minutes, check to see if it's about done, if not, go a "little" longer (by seconds).

Blot out the grease. It should be ready to eat then.
Microwaving is a bit tricky, but you don't get all that grease.

Note: Don't try to do more than 4 at a time, it never cooks properly.

Make the coffee and stir the orange juice.
Get a seasoned cast iron pan.
Place the bacon in a cold pan.
Turn the stove on as low as possible.
Turn the bacon as it fries so that no part is over cooked. Cook it to your liking: soft and chewy, or dark brown and ready to shatter.
Drain on paper towels, keep warm in the oven until everyone smells the coffee and gets up.
Enjoy!

Frying on about a medium to medium high heat in a nonstick pan is best...dont have non stick, do the same but use a little pam or olive oil to give the bacon some where to go. Also...doing bacon in the oven by using the 'broil setting works wonderful too. You can actually sprinkle on some brown sugar or maple syrup to get that savory sweet thing going on if its for a breakfast side.

Put bacon it in a frying pan on medium to high heat and cook until it starts to crisp. If you cook it until desired crispness, it will be overdone, because bacon continues to cook after removed from the heat, just like eggs do. And, if you want eggs to go with that, it tastes great to fry the eggs in the bacon grease, bad for the heart, I know, but tasty.

Put the bacon,in a single layer on a paper towel and either fold the paper towel over or put another paper towel on top. Cook about 1 minute per slice.
If you are cooking it in a skillet put it in a cold skillet. Cook it on medium heat . If it starts cooking too fast turn the burner down as necessary, turn it every little bit so that it will cook evenly.

I put a couple of paper towels folded on a plate and then put the slices on the paper towels and fold one end of the towel over the bacon and microwave for about 3 minutes. I like my bacon crisp so if you do not then donot cook as long. I cover it with the towel to keep the grease from splattering all over the microwave.

I don't know, I've never watch you cook bacon before.

I know how I cook bacon. In a fry pan/skillet, on medium heat, never high heat, and turn twice while cooking until it's reached the desired doneness.
I like my bacon crispy, so patience is a virtue.

put the bacon strips on a rack above a pan in the oven. THEN turn the oven to 400 degrees. when it gets up to temperature, give it about 10 minutes then start watching it for your favorite doneness. the strips come out straight, not all curled up like the do in the frying pan, unless youve got one of those bacon presses. which sounds kinda fun. oh baby, press my bacon! plus you get all that wonderful bacon grease in the pan for making that cornbread later!

and whaddya mean "dont get all that grease"???!!!!! its liquid gold!! my parents used to have a coffee can of it right on top of the stove for cooking! and no i dont have clogged arteries.

Best way is in an oven at 350-400 on a cookie cooler rack that is placed inside a cookie sheet so the grease drips down and your bacon is flat and crispy.

You do not need to add oil or greese or anything, bacon has enough fat to fry it in its own fat and you can use bacon grease to make gravy its good! just be careful when you are cooking it it likes to pop greese if you have it too high, the easiest way is in the oven, it turns out crispy
