I think ancient Christians used the "Jewish" lie to spread hate and propoganda in ancient times to discredit Jews.

Were Jews involved in the murder of Christ, ofcourse - the man kicked up a Synagoug and questioned the validity of the Jewish leaders. Did ALL Jews participate or agree -HELL NO, probably just those in power (doing what all people in power do - getting rid of thier enemies).

But look at Christian depictions of Judas and you'll see that utter hatred Christians had for Jews and why that statement "the Jews killed Christ", still carries on today.

I say be happy, 'cause he died for your sins, and LEAVE IT ALONE didn't the man say on the cross "forgive them father...." So you Christians need to listen to YOUR LEADER and FORGIVE THEM!!!!(for whatever it is you think they did) and be quiet already.

It's not that anybody (except those intolerant individuals who are, unfortunately, blatantly antisemitic) is angry at the Jews and blames them unnecesarily.
It was, in fact, the Jewish people who wanted Jesus crucified, and the Jewish leaders who demanded his crucifixion.
The fact is that Jews condemned Christ and Romans executed Him. This is not an antisemitic claim... it's history.
When we say that Jesus Christ was killed by Jews, we are simply stating a historic fact.
Yes. You are right. Jesus did die for the sins of all- not just the Jews. That is a true statement. The fact that Jesus was condemned and betrayed by His own people is something that was in prophecy in the old testament.

Where did you ever get the idea that Christians and/or Catholics are angry at the Jews?

I'm Christian (but not Catholic) and have never once been angry at a Jew. And I know a lot of Catholics and have never encountered any anger on their part towards Jews.

Our religions are very friendly and tolerant of each other (IMO). I've been in their synagogues before and been welcomed to pray with them.

The answer to your question lies in two words: REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY.

Basically, this theology asserts that God is "done" with the Jewish people, and that they are no longer His Chosen People (mostly because of their rejection of Jesus Christ as the Messiah).

Replacement Theologians are fond of reminding all who will listen that, because of the Jews' spiritual adultry, God "divorced" Himself from the Jews at Jeremiah 3 and Hosea (can't remember the chapt. verse at the moment). While this is true, God tells us this "divorce" necessitates a New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31), which Christians and Messianic Jews recognize was brought by Jesus. They then argue that the New Covenant was only made with gentile Christians (and begrudgingly with Messianic Jews) and symbolizes God's marriage to the gentile Church.

Replacement theologians twist Biblical passages such as Romans 9:6-8 to mean the Church is now "spiritual Israel" and will receive ALL the blessings God promised to Abraham.

Replacement Theology is rubbish and should be rejected whenever it is encountered. Yet, there are quite a number of denominations and "Christian" cults that embrace this theology. Each and every one of them exhibit anti-Semitic traits.

Well if you read the Gospels the Jews brought forth Jesus to Pilot-who was a Roman- and they were the ones who literally crucified him. Judas also betrayed Jesus and helped contribute to his death, but I put Jesus on the cross when I sin as well. I'm a Christian and I don't know where you get the idea that Christians are ant-Semites! Do you have any proof taken from the Bible or any other religious doctrine that backs you up because those are pretty serious allegations you've made about other people. JESUS was a JEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christians and Catholics are not angry with the Jews. Its sick people who project their own hatreds on the Jews, like a scapegoat...they may have attached themselves to a religion, but its not the religion that persecutes, its the dark heart.

Unfortunately, your "facts" are inaccurate.

The Jews didn't kill Jesus, and I'm not aware of any Christians who are angry at the Jews.

FYI, the Romans killed Jesus.

What anger are you referring to? While there is a clear disagreement between Jews and Christians, I don't see anger.

It is only anti-semetics who hate Jewish people. I am a Christian and I do not hate Jewish people. I understand that it was meant for Jesus to die for us all and the way he died for us all was how it was meant to be.

I dont really understand it either, but Jesus was going to be crucified, because it was God's plan, but the Jews were the ones who were against Jesus and his teachings. I know that im not mad at the Jews, so dont worry not everyone is mad!

I don't understand either. All christians and catholics don't all think that. It's almost like blacks still hating whites for what they did, when actually we did nothing, it was our ancestors. And the Jews living today didn't kill Jesus, it was their ancestors. This I do know, that If Jesus hadn't died, then the will of God couldn't have come to pass, Jesus couldn't have died for our sins or saved us from death. If Jesus wasn't meant to die, he wouldn't have.
