Hrm.. Stoning a cheater...
Shoot, I wouldent hardly have anyone to date if it wasnt for wandering wayward wives..
But then again its Iran, they want to build nukes to kill everyone in the mideast, I don't think they will listen to a petition drive mostly from americans, might even encourage them to kill her.

I've already signed this petition... not that any petition from a bunch of Westerners is going to make any difference. Unfortunately, they are a sovereign nation with the ability to make their own laws... this is why introducing democracy to the region makes complete sense. The laws of Islam are outdated and barbaric.
Add to that that this sort of thing occurs all the time. This woman is not a sole, freak incident. There are stories of women being stoned to death for being raped (obviously it is the woman's fault) and just for being accused of cheating. While it is a nation's right to make those laws, they need to be enacted fairly and equally -- to men and women alike after a court of law has proven their guilt.

I signed it, but I wish there was a way to add what happens to the man? He probably goes free.

At the same time, we are asking the Iranian Parliament representatives to change the criminal law so that an extramarital relationship is not considered a "crime" and that it certainly does not warrant the death penalty.
WTF? It is a crime! The Bible tells a man's wife to be loyal to him, and a man loyal to his wife. She cheated, to bad, she's gunna have to pay for her sins. It is a crime. I'm not signing that petition.

reminds me of "The Lottery" but they're stoning her for a different reason. On a different note: that's awful!

Mmmkay. Stoning? Isn't so barbaric? Can't they just jail her or something? I hope it works this petition.
