There was a time in our history when the right to vote was only for citzens who owned land. At least the real vote doesn't come down to the uneducated liberals and their poor masses.

No, especially because now, everyone pays taxes. It isn't just landowners. Also, now so many people live in cities that there are many people that rent that are doctors, lawyers, and other professionals.
You would lose all these people voting.

What makes you think that liberals and lower income families are uneducated? I don't make a large sum of money but I recieved a full-scholarship to a private university. I am also liberal because I have taken the time to educate myself. I was a republican when I was younger. This way only because I was told to be and never examined the facts. Now that I am older and wiser, I have realized that liberal stances are the most beneficial to the majority of the population. I also rent an apartment. I am a white guy who was raised catholic. I should not be allowed to vote? You are very blind. I hope that you will be able to find it in yourself to question things around you and to listen to your soul. I know that your father was an ***hole and your mother was very submissive. I bet that you haven't even taken the time today to tell your mother that you love her and ask her how her day is. I bet that you haven't even asked her if she is happy and how her life has been. I am also guessing that you think women should not be allowed to vote either and that you should not waste your time with caring how women might feel. I hope that no woman marries into your household. But, if there is a woman who would marry you then I am guessing that it would be for your "LAND". So I am sure that it will end in divorce and the vicious cycle of the republican will continue. I hope that at least your spirit is learning something.

Sure.... the landowners should be the only ones with the right to vote as long as they are the only one paying the taxes!
Those born into those poor masses are the ones who do all the jobs the high society class don't even want to think about while renting the hovels you provide and maintain. Poor and uneducated does not mean less American than you!

We learn history in school to prevent things like this. Anyone who is affected by who is in office should have the right to vote on who that person will be. Otherwise, the government will be taken completely over by the rich land owners and we will have gone back in time about 200 years.

That was the time in history that only WHITE MALE land owners could vote. You convieniently left that part out. So basically your saying only rich white men should be able to vote? Interesting idea. That would nullify the past 60 years of civil rights movements.

Both political parties would lose too many votes if you put that restriction on it. Republicans greatly depend on the votes from non-land owners.

In a nation of so many non-voters you have to ask if it would make any difference. i suspect that it is already the de fcto situation with the haves voting and the have-nots dis-enfranchising hemselves.
More interesting would be the nations of the world having voting rights in the UN based on land ownership. That way America should not be able to impose its will ( and self interest) on the world.............. but Heh that wouldn't be fair would it !!!!!!!!!

The Right to Vote is given to All Americans of acceptable age by the Congress of Our Country. If this right where to be limited to Property owners only they would be represented by their elected officials. Fortunately our forefathers saw the need to provide representation for ALL the People.

Might as well continue to go backwards. Don't you want the vote decided by white men only? Why not limit ownership of land to white men like back in the day? That way you will be happy.

do you realize we already do not get enough people to turn out to vote and that a lot of smart people who do not own land vote.I know loads who rent because they are to busy to take care of a yard and the outside part of where they live and are smart people
You sir are soundind not very educated by this sort of question.That would go backwards on peoples rights and lots of smart people do not have money to buy there own land either. Plus I not lots of total dum dums who own land ( no i am not trying to mean but it is true. i am sorry to say)
