Suppose i have a Wega espresso machine or a Panasonic espresso mechine the coffee bean grind level would be different - where can i find the list of brands and levels ?

Well, if you can change the coarseness of the grind, it really doesn't matter, you just need to play with it a little depending on general humidity. The more humid it is outside, the coarser you want the grind. The drier, the finer the grind. Check www.coffeegeek.com for more info. They may even have some info on your machine.

Oh, also the quality of the grind is affected by the status of the grinding burs. If they are dull, you will shatter the beans instead of slice them, resulting in a less optimal grind. This also heats up the coffee after a while (if the burs are dull that is) and will partially cook them, robbing the coffee if its natural oils, the fatty stuff that makes coffee taste rich.
