I have a pet dog. Few minutes ago I had a fight with my dad, who was trying to use a chair to threaten my dog as if he was beating my dog. II will definately assume that this is a abusing case. But neither I want to make a complain to the police etc... If I were to complain my parents will be involved in the jail! If that happens, I wouldn't have anyone to take care of me! Can I anyone help me out in this cornered issue. I need a solution badly because it's really heart paining!

just threatening? that's it? no hitting? seriously?
just keep the dog away from your dad...you re serious? dont call the police...they ll laugh at you! I love dogs. I have one and would be mad if the same thing happened but no, you re over reacting.

That is bad. And frankly I'm not so sure I would trust your father as far as a baby could kick him.

Do you have any friends who could take care of the dog? Until you decide what to do about the rest, your dog needs to be out of the house and in a safer environment.

Try talking with a counsellor locally and see what they say. Somehow I doubt this is the first time something like this has happened.

Good luck!

Did your dad hit the dog? I hope not. If he was just threatening the dog, you should tell your dad how frightened that made you feel. I must add that if you feel your father is dangerous, or that you feel you are in danger in any way, you must talk to a teacher, or an adult you trust about it. I promise your parents will not be taken to jail if you do.

you need to find the dog a new home, tell ur dad it ran away and dont get another one. Dog abuse aint cool and your dog will suffer if it continues and will have to be eventually put to sleep because its not mentally safe enough to go to a new home.

If you feel your dog is in danger, bring your dog to a rescue group and explain the situation - be sure, if he turns his abusive behavior on you or anyone else, to contact the police. Abuse is never okay.

Sounds to me like you need to find your dog a new home. A safe home, away from your dad.
