kitchen should prefereably be finished with white tiles to give picture of a clean and neat kitchen. If kitchen is not tidy you can't eat and enjoy your food. Put white tiles on the walls of your kitchen

Decorate with antiques! I have some awesome metal trays that are used for decorating. They would look awesome in a kitchen. If you are interested, let me know and I'll send pictures of them. Even if you don't want to buy them, they may give you some good ideas about decorating. I had them listed on ebay at one time. I'll give you a great deal if you'd like them. I actually considered redoing my kitchen with them since they are really nifty, but I spent too much on the apple decor to change just yet. Lol!

Also, stick with old timey colors. Rust colors, greens and yellows. Good luck! I think vintage decor looks awesome!!!!

If you want a vintage look, go with Bronze. Bronze accent wall tiles (maybe with a grape pattern embossment), bronze vent hood over your oven, bronze country sink. Hang some bronze cake molds on the wall. Also, hang wrought iron pots and pans from a pot rack. Change the hardware on your kitchen cabinets. Get vintage knobs and handles.

I love the farmhouse kitchen look: apron sink, open shelving, off white painted cabinets. Decorate with kitchen antiques: old graters, rolling pins, scales, etc.
