do I need software to rip and burn a dvd if my computer is a dvd/rw

hate to break it to you

dvd shrink can't handle new movie but you can try dvdfab decrypter and then shrink the dvd files.

or if you want you can download slysoft's anydvd which automatically decrpyte on the background and you can shrink that way.

dvd shrink can't handle sony arccos, macrodmedia riplock.

for burning the dvd google Imgburn the same guy that created dvd decrpyter.

If you are talking about coping a DVD movie you can't. They are encrypted and you would first need to decrypt it then burn it onto a
DVD using the DVD software that came with the computer.

By the way it is very wrong to do that!

DVD Shrink seems to be about the best program that I have seen thus far. Its free and can be downloaded rather quickly. It will rip your DVD and the permit you to burn it to a CD or another DVD.

DvdFabDecrypter to rip the movie to your hard drive, then Nero Burner to make a dvd. http://www.doom9.net is an excellent resource.

You can prepare the ".iso" files and rip the Dvd and create CDs also

DVD Shrink and a burner, there are plenty of places to get DVD shrink and it is FREE
