I'd like to hear stories from people who have had this experience, because I'd like to believe that it is something that is still within the realm of possibility.
I love my boyfriend, but I know that I am not his "best friend", and it hurts.

We used to write beautiful letters all the time, late night conversations, share jokes, secrets, everything.. now he says "you know I love you and you shouldn't question my love for you.."(wtf).
Was he just reeling me in? We used to communicate but we don't anymore, not becasue I haven't tried, but apparently, I'm always wrong. Is he bored with me?

My Husband is my love, my world and my best friend in life!! I believe that it's best to marry someone that is not only your lover but also a friend. Before I married my Husband, we were friends at work and we would talk occasionally then eventually we became best friends. One day he asked me out on a date and after 3 weeks of dating, we got engaged and have been married ever since with one beautiful son and hopefully another one in the near future. It does exist, I'm proof!!! Good Luck!!!

my ex and I are still best friends much to my boyfriends dismay sometimes haha.
My boyfriend and I are very close and consider each other one of our closest freinds.
It's honesty, trust and maturity that will allow this. You need a certain level of comfort.

The main secret to any relationship is communication, you have to talk talk talk. let your partner know whats on your mind. but sadly most "men" don't do that.
