As far as I know, it is not a good idea. All the nutrients that are going into the milk production for the already born baby are taking away from nurtients for the baby in your belly. On top of all that your body is still trying to keep you healthy. That's a lot to ask of our bodies even if we ate and excercised exactly as we were supposed to, which I know I don't. Definitely talk to your doctor though. If you don't have a doctor or insurance, you can call WIC or Social Services in your area, and someone qualified should be able to help you. Hope this helps.

Yes it is fine. I did it twice. You just need to make sure you are getting enough nutrients for both babies and for yourself.
Read the link someone posted. It has all the info you need.
And don't believe someone just because the say "I am a doctor" doctors have their opinions just like everyone and they also can be wrong at times too. Ask that doctor how many classes they took on nutrition. Just one! How many hours did they spend in their many years of schooling on breastfeeding??

When I found out that I was pregnant with my fourth child my OB recommended for me to wean her. This is on account of my body already needing extra nutrients and calories to support a new pregnancy and producing breastmilk also requires nutrients and calories. Also, breastfeeding causes your uterus to contract which after the third or fourth month of pregnancy can lead to pre-term contractions or labor.

yes you can, but you have to moniter your baby very closely as breast milk changes and loses some of its fat content while you are pregnant. you also must watch your baby for signs of diareah and such as breast milk while pregnant has a lot of colostrum in it. But as long as baby is gaining and you are feeling well. I say continue unless the doctor advises you to stop.
Good luck!

yes you can,,,I got pregnant with my second when my first was 8 months old,,she weaned when she was 14 months,,,my second child did not suffer from it ,,when he was born he weighed over 8 lbs,,then i got pregnant with my third when my second was 10 months,, i was feeding my second,,he weened at 17 months,,,the third didn't suffer,,she weighed over 9 lbs but the thing you need to know is that when food is introduced and the child adapts to it the amount of time the child feeds off of you decreases to just a few times a day mostly at nap and bedtimes,,,at least from my experience

yes, but it's a real drain on the mother. all the energy and nutrients you need to grow a baby and sustain your health may not be enough to nurse a baby too.
