I know this really doesn't have to do with immigration.. I could careless what the people in politics think... I'm more aquainted with those on this forum, both, for and against it--
.. so, I guess you could say im interested in you ;)
....So, I was just thinking about Bush's stuttering... and I was kinda pretending like I was Bush, and explaining that I had a speech impediment-- to not laugh...
...And, I have this perfect "gay" voice.. So, I was acting like Bush...in my "gay" voice LOL... Damn.. I need sleep...
Anyway, I was just wondering what you guys would think if a gay guy ever landed the role of President... Would that be such a bad thing? What would happen to the country? And how would you feel about it?
Lets say he had strong views that everyone LOVED!! And he actually stood up for what he believed in, and for the people. .....What other things would he be doing-- anything strange?
--Rob =P
(No, I'm not gonna be your gay president.. I'm straight, Thanx).

Sexual orintation should not be a voting tool. People are so hung up on straight or not, as long as they have showed in previous actions they will do and be a good leader, I'll vote for them.

I don't think it would be a problem. Sexual lifestyle has nothing to do with administrative abilities. The Oval office would be decorated a little different maybe. I say this and I'm a straight Republican.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a gay president! If we had gay marriage, too, we could have a First Man. Heh heh, awesome. Maybe Hillary could be the First Man, LMAO!
The White House could use some sprucing up, too. I would vote for the gay president.
Awww, you sure you don't wanna be the Gay Presidento? ;)

or a gay woman should Condi run and win...if the person had the heart of a true patriot and considered the needs of America over politics, I wouldn't care about race color gender age or sexuality or religion or lack of any of the afore mentioned.

I think it is 'don't ask don't tell' in the military. And I could see myself voting for one depending on their issues and who ran against them.
I don't think it will happen in the near future, however.

Kerry / Edwards tried it unsuccessfully. That's why I voted for Bush, Not because of his politics but because Kerry / Edwards hugged way too much (way to closely).

There has been rampant speculation that we've already had one: James Buchanon.
BTW, he was a lousy president, but I doubt sexuality played a role in that. He twiddled his thumbs while America was moving toward civil war.

Wouldn't be a good thing. How can a gay president deal with Muslim countries where being homosexual is punishable by death?
