Some like to call it "curiousity" Lots of people still believe in a god. Just wondering why people believe, and wondering if that question can ever be answered with something more concrete than "it's called faith" or "read your bible" I'm not trying to convert you into non-belief, just tryin to understand. Peace, k?

"Why even be reading these question about God and so on. If you already have your mind set."
maybe their mind isn't set.
"Why even bother answering Christian questions about angels, etx? "
because they know the answer
"Why hate God if God really does not exist in the first place? Why hate some thing that is not even real??"
the ones that do hate probabLy just hate the concept because they think it does more harm then good.

I take it from your writing skills you have received a wonderful Christian education.
Your question is narrow minded and stupid. Just because people are atheists doesn't mean they are not entitled to their opinion. Christians and other religious people are only too quick to answer non-religious questions with answers that involve praying or judgments that the asker is sinful. So why can't an atheist answer a question in this section?
Atheists don't HATE God because they don't believe He exists. So that's a pretty stupid point to make. What atheists hate are narrow minded Christians that ask stupid biased questions based on the mindset that they are somehow superior to people with different opinions and ideals.
Finally I find it highly amusing that you should level accusations about atheists being stuck in a certain mind set. I take it you didn't see the irony in that.
UPDATE: I can only hope that if you are really in the medical field, English is your second or third language. Otherwise I can't imagine how you could pass any exams writing like that.

It goes the other way to. I've seen religious types posing questions that to them only have one answer.
Just because I don't necessarily believe the same thing as someone else doesn't mean my opinion shouldn't be weighed evenly with yours.
People have different views on different things that's why these forums exist. If you only wanted answers to your questions religious or otherwise, that agree with your opinions then maybe you're posting in the wrong place.
The purpose is to gather different opinions, ideas and answers from many sources and not just one.
If an atheist just comes on and spouts basically hate, saying you're stupid for believing in god or what have you, then yeah, that's a problem. But if they come on and explain why they don't believe in Gods, angels and all the other trappings of religion then why shouldn't that be a valid point?

I have answered this probably 12 times now. Try to pay attention more. When you type this question, you will see other ones in a box under it. They are labeled "similar questions". Look into it. All I feel like saying is FREEDOM OF SPEECH. We don't have censorship like the Nazis even if you want it. So tell the person with the gun to your head who forces you to read our comments that he needs to let you go.
I do not know who that detail was for, but let me say being in the medical field does not make you intelligent. Many people in that field are stupid. Why do you think there are sooo many malpractice cases? And if you had manners, you would not be a missionary. Think about it.

Kim, this is a silly, silly question and I'm a Christian.
I also spent time as an atheist. You do realize C.S. Lewis, the person who may be the best Christian apologist in the world, was an atheist for years, right?
Atheists, I am sad to say, often study religion more than Christians do. I suspect there are atheists here that can wipe the table with any knowledge you have about your own Bible, no matter what your "education". Atheists are learners. If they can be given proof of anything, they correct their stance and incorporate what they have learned into their beliefs.

I find human psychology interesting (degree in psychology), so to read what people believe and how, and how that effects their lives is very interesting. I just had a question about a difference in views on being saved that I was curious about, so I asked. Funny how that's the point of this forum...
It is religion and spirituality, not Christianity. Lack of religion is just as much a part of religion as is God or Vishnu or whoever.

The most common fallacy is that atheists hate deities. We do not hate that in which we do not believe in. I have always liked comparative religion I find it interesting; interesting enough to take four classes in it at college. You may believe what you wish I have no beef with that but why should I not be allowed on an open board that just has the generalized title of Religion & Spirituality? Even atheists can be spirtual as religion and spirituality is not the same concept.

They NEED to be here fellow Christian! Don't chase them away. If this is the only place where they learn about the gospels and hear about Christ...let it be so. Let them ask their questions. Let them wriggle throught the lies and find the truth. The Lord says to love thy neighbor! People hate what they don't understand. It is a human condition not Christian or Athiest, Muslim, Buhhist, etc... Furthermore...this is a religion and spirituality site. That can include all walks including Wiccan and Satanic practices. Instead...be prepared to answer questions and to show love.
WWJD?
In love and peace...

This question has been asked many times, try searching for it instead of posting it again.
Anyway in case you haven't noticed, every other question on here is titled "atheists: answer me this" or "atheists: this is what I think of you". So obviously this forum is being used for a general discussion of religion and lack there of.
