Manual trans is available on F150 , 6cyl only
but on F250 its available with all engines

Pre-owned Manual trans F-Series are few & far between , because automatic is much more popular, but every time we get one in on trade, they sell pretty quick.

YES
the F150 can be purchased with a manual transmission
however it is limited to the XL level trim (work truck)
There were no manual transmission F150 for the new model in 2004 but the following year and ever since manual transmission is back
so is 6 cylinder
the F250 has always been available with a manual transmission

F150 Manual Transmission

As others said, Ford stopped making the v-8 manual transmission in 2004 with the 2003 being the last year in a supercab/flareside (almost bought one)

The v-6 is the only way in the f-150 now.

By the way, Ford never put a manual in a supercrew and didn't put it in the 2004 new body style truck either (2005 was the first year)

Since it's so simple, I find it funny Ford don't offer it o the v-8 new body style trucks

yep, Ford never stopped making trucks without an optional manual transmission, althought a good quantity are automatics anymore.

The F-150 through the F-550 can have either a standard or automatic. The F-150 can be ordered with a 5 speed stick or 4 speed auto, the F-250 through the F-550 can be ordered with either a ZF 6 speed or TorqShift 5 speed auto.

There is such a diverse group of people whith just as diverse preferences on vehicles, I really don't think you have to worry about if they stopped making manual transmissions or not.

RE:
Does Ford make the F150 or F250 in a manual transmission? If not, what year did they stop this?

The current F150 has an option of a 4.2L V6/5-speed manual overdrive transmission (Regular Cab 4x2 only; not available with Flareside). See http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150/features/#Power%20and%20Handling.

The current F250 has a 5.4L Triton® V8 Engine and 6-speed manual overdrive transmission standard on the F250 XL, XLT and Lariat or an optional 6.8L Triton® V10 engine with 6-speed manual overdrive transmission. There is also a diesel option for the F250. See http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/superduty/features/#Power%20and%20Handling

not they still do.in the f-150 you could mainly find it on the v-6 mostly. from 1997-2004 there were only a few made for the 4.6 v-8 and none for the 5.4v-8. today the oonly way to get a manual in an f-150 is to buy a base model two wheel drive v-6. and as far as the f-250 goes, you can get a manual in all of them

Honestly, there isn't enough of a difference to matter when it comes to interior space. Both are great for loading up with people. The F250 is better at hauling, but most loads the average person haul don't max either out. I think it's important for people to really look at what they're going to use their vehicle for and not over-buy unless money isn't an option for you. In that case.... BIGGER is always better.
