1.) Why would an all-knowing, all-powerful being -- someone who needs nothing and lacks nothing -- want and demand our devotion and praise? Why would he even bother creating other beings? Again, as a perfect being, he can't be lonely (it would imply he lacked something), and he can't hope to learn anything new (he already knows it all)...

2.) If Jesus was willing to appear before his disciples and show them his injuries to prove his resurrection, why won't he do the same for me? Is it fair that he doesn't offer everyone equal evidence (and thus, and equal chance at salvation)?

3.) People attribute all sorts of miraculous cures and healings to God; but why won't God heal amputees?

4.) Punishment on earth usually serves two purposes: deterrent and rehabilitation. But if people in Hell will never be let out, and people in Heaven will be incapable of sinning, and no one has any hard evidence of Hell's existence, what's the point of Hell?

1) God loves us. He demands our devotion and praise because he created us. Consider earthly parents. They love their children, and yet they demand respect. While not the same, it is similar. Children who grow up without respect for their parents (assuming that their parents have their best interests at heart) generally respect nothing. ... God doesn't need anything from us. He deserves it because he created us. He doesn't lack anything--it is that he knows what is best for us and he has our best interests at heart; therefore, it is only through his guidance that we can come to be who he intended us to be. If we do not "permit" him--and he has given us the choice not to--then we are infidels. Without God, our Father--that is, left to our own devices--we are useless to anyone, even ourselves.

2) He may do the same for you. If you have faith, he very well may. But he won't do it just because you want it, and he certainly won't do it when you are asking out of disrespect. ... Yes, it is fair that he doesn't appear to you with his wounds. He does still offer you plenty of evidence. You just fail to see it, because you are looking through eyes of pride, and because you think only one form of evidence is worthwhile.

3) God has his reasons. And God heals those he wishes to heal. What's your point?

4) The point of hell is that people chose to stay divorced from God while they lived, and so they get to remain--through their own choice--divorced from God forever. Your time on earth is your time to be deterred and rehabilitated. You can take the chance, or you can discard it.

This would probably be better as four different questions, but here we go...

1. God wants to be loved, just like everybody else. If He made little robots who couldn't do anything by their own choice, He wouldn't be loved, would He?

2. You have more than enough evidence for the truth of Jesus.
John 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

3. Jesus healed all sorts of injuries and diseases while He walked the earth. Nobody is doing that today, no matter what the people on television say.

4. It is a modern concept that incarceration is for rehabilitation. It should be a sufficient deterrent, for you have enough information about it to want to stay out, but the primary purpose is punishment, intended for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41), but there's enough room for everybody who chooses it.

1.) Because He loves us, and He made us to love us. He can't be lonely, not because he lacks nothing (though that's true), but because he's an eternal relationship of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He's simply created others to have a part in this love relationship.

2.) Because they are the ones who would spearhead the whole "redeem the world" movement. Millions of others have believed without seeing His wounds. If you saw a resurrected Christ right down, would you put your faith in Him at that instant and dedicate your entire life to Him, or pass it off as an illusion?

3.) Many miracles these days are fakes displayed by televangelists. How do you know no amputees have been healed?

4.) The point of Hell was to punish Satan and his angels that originally rebelled against God. However, people in Hell typically spend their whole life trying to run away from God and steer clear of Him as much as possible. God assigns them a place in Hell so they can have their wish, because the definition of Hell is the absence of God.

The all knowing and all powerful being made the first Adam to come down and talk with. Yes He already knows all. Jesus was willing to appear to these people that they may write down what they seen. Your better question would have been why didn't the amputees have enough knowing that God could heal them. People in hell chose their own destination, I don't have to worry for there is no God. They are lied to and they believe the lie. They go about doing as they please and never consider that one day they will answer because they feel there is no one to answer to.

Some things we will never fully understand due to the fact that we only have finite minds - the true Glory of the Lord; the specific timing of events or people’s identities involved in the consummation of His redemptive plan for mankind.
But the Bible does say this about the mystery of God.
Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Spectacular question!! I wish I could give you 1,000 points for asking this.

I was raised as a Christian. But, I found more peace and comfort in developing my own spirituality, that was separate from the doctrine I had learned from strict religion. I was free to accept my idea of God on my own terms.

I beleive "God" is everything. The Earth, the Universe, the swirling winds on Jupiter, the gentle breeze on the Earth's seashores, the first breath of each creature (including mankind), and the last, the trees, the subtle voice in your conscience telling you to do the right thing...I could go on and on, but that to me, is God.

I beleive we all are ordained a path in life by him. We are put where we are for a reason. We have lessons to learn. I look at life on Earth as a sort of "purification" for the next life. Yes, we suffer sometimes. Many more than others. I too, reject the theory of hell. God, being omniscient and omnipotent, has known us millions of years ago. He knew what things we were going to do. He knew Jeffrey Dahmer would kill. He knew Mother Theresa would be a humanitarian. Yet, I find that the extremes, and in-betweens are necessary to balance life. I beleive God is the strong, light-positive force in the Universe, and there is also a weaker, dark force. Some may call it the devil. Some worship this force and it's principalities. However, I beleive that the dark is not as powerful as the light, and one must CHOOSE that path due to weak will. It cannot just overcome you like the light force (God) can.

I beleive that we are part of God. I beleive that we were not put here for God to learn anything from us, but for us to learn about him through faith. He gave us the free will to choose negative or positive in life. I beleive those of us who seek him, and throw off the shackles of religion will expand our minds, and open our souls enough to truly witness God.

You ask a powerful question! I hope you get a variety of responses!

1. Gods main purpose for creating us was for his enjoyment and pleasure, However, Adam and eve cause this world to be in sin like it is today. But God just wants our praise because he created us
2. God gave us the Holy Spirit who lives inside of us, that during the time Jesus walked with the disciples they never had that, it is our comfort
3. God is God that's all we can say
4. the purpose for hell is for those who have sinned and fallen from the Lord, God doesn't want to send anyone to hell but if we do not follow the commandments of the word of God, than that's were we will spend hell at.

1. Why not?
2. Blessed are those who DO NOT see and still have faith.
3. Who says he hasn't? It has happened but why does he have to do it at YOUR beck and call. He has a reason for all he does.
4. Earth is earth and has it's own reasons Eternity is eternity you get your chance. Hell is seperation from God if that is what you want then that is what you will get.

Soleil Noir, you do have a point but your thoughts seem to be rather clouded! One's belief in God in any form is purely personal. If one feels he is helped by God, be it so; if one feels he is not, be it so too!
Be realistic Soleil Noir, all that people attribute to God is nothing but selfishness. People are responsible for all their actions and depending on the gravity of what they do, they get the returns - positive or negative. It is simply meaningless placing it all on the shoulders of some unknown entity! The so-called hell or heaven - it is all in everyone and it is right here in one's backyard or front yard! WE ARE WHAT WE ARE, AND ALL CREATIONS ARE JUST HUMAN CREATIONS!

I think that this was a well thought out question.
You use what God gave you well.
As to the answers to your question, I wish that I could give them to you as eloquently as you posed them.
Men have been trying to deal with the questions you have posed for a very long tome. It will make your head hurt.
Many say the h*** with this I'm not going to think about it any more.
Your questions are deep and therefore someone much deeper that I must answer them.
