Smoking.

Quitting smoking is like learning to walk. You're not going to do it without falling down. If you fall down, get weak for a moment and have a ciggie, don't surrender. Have that ciggie, but then throw the pack away. Go back on the wagon. Don't ... are you listening? Don't count the days. Counting the days is a subconscious way of saying "look at me! I'm going to fail!" You're seeing how many days you can go before you finally crack and go back on the habit. Don't keep track. Keep telling yourself: I'm quits. You break down, in a moment of stress you have a cigarette: Hey! The battle's not over! Just crush up the rest of the cigarettes and go back to quitting. Don't finish the pack. Throw it away. Good luck. You can do it!

Methamphetamine. I started when I was 12 and quit when I was 37. I honestly don't know how I made it this far. I am now 42 and I still can't go a day without wanting it. It has played havoc on my mind and body and it has been tough trying to get myself back together. I am a labor and delivery nurse in a major hospital in Oklahoma and it's only by the Grace of God I did not lose my job. I used my friends and family as a support group and went to a therapy group 2 times a week. So far, so good.

I have quit smoking many times! However, 3 years ago, I took a Program called Clean Break and it chnged my life. I haven't smoked since then. Good Luck! The first 3 days are the worst.

Smoking. I quit twice, first time I quit for 6 years and a bad breakup drove me back to it. I quit three years later again and haven't had a smoke since (about 8 years now). I quit cold turkey both times.

I gave up sex for a long time once, still masterbated though. That was the hardest.

Ambien was difficult after a year of taking it. It took a few days of hellish existence to do it.

I gave up beer for a year. That was tough too.

Good luck, try nicotene patches and substituting other habits.

eating purposely to throw it back up again was my worse habit (years ago) and it got completely out of control. It went on for about 5 years - I didn't even want to do it most of the time but it became such a bad habit/addiction. I eventually 'grew out' of it, it was something I covered up and kept from people so I dealt with it myself!

Don't give in, I gave up smoking almost 5 months ago, and it DOES get better. Stick with it, breathe through your cravings, you will be fine. Just keep saying over and over again "I WILL NOT SMOKE". I also stopped drinking as well, smoking was harder, but get through the first week and it will be fine, trust me!
