"Vorrei sapere il tuo nome" or, even more emphatic, "come vorrei sapere il tuo nome!" or "magari sapessi il tuo nome!". You can also use "come ti chiami" ("what your name is") instead of "il tuo nome" ("your name"). It sounds more colloquial Italian to me.
"Vorrei sapere come ti chiami", "Magari sapessi come ti chiami!". I think "magari sapessi come ti chiami" captures the meaning of "I wish" in English. "Vorrei sapere" is more like "I'd like to know".

YOu know Italian and English realy do not have same meanings as word per word, you've seen it yourself, you've tried to translate but honestly it doesn't sound good, and it is not the correct translation for it........
The right way for you to say " i wish i knew your name is:
1. MI piacerebbe sapere il tuo nome= I would like to know your name
THE BEST ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION WOULD BE:
" Magari Se Sapessi Il Tuo Nome "
It's like saying God i so wish i knew your name, like really wanting to know it.

"Vorrei sapere il tuo nome."
seems to me to capture the meaning - it means "I would like to know your name" and is idiomatically correct.
Or what about:
"Se sapessi il tuo nome!" - "If only I knew your name!"
Or:
"Mi direi fortunato sapere il tuo nome" (if you are male, and)
"Mi direi fortunata sapere il tuo nome" (if you are female)
- "I would consider myself fortunate to know your name"
or instead of "...sapere il tuo nome" -> "...se sapessi il tuo nome"
- "I would consider myself fortunate if I knew your name"
Hope this helps, I'm not a native speaker, so no 100% guarantee!
