Did you pay a salon $600 for the asian straightner that's supposed to last for years? Or did you buy a straightening (flat) iron for $600?
If the first, then go back to the salon & demand they fix it. If they refuse go to small claims court & sue for the cost, your time, the court fees, & pain & suffering due to the stress.

2. If you wasted $600 on an electric straightening/flat iron, take it back where you bought it. If they refuse a refund or exchange, call the co. It may even take a letter or fax to the head of the public relations dept. to get them to do the right thing. But you'll have nice looking hair.
In the meantime, use a cheap flat iron or buy the Ogilve' straightener at walmart for about $10

With a blow dryer and a flat boars-hair brush. Ask your stylist to show you the best techniques. Don't attempt to dry your hair while it is soaking wet. Use products that assist straightening. BedHead makes good stuff. Let your hair air dry for about an hour after showering if you can. Start with layers from the bottom up. Pin your upper layers up and blow dry underneath first. Then let down some of the pinned up hair and continue. Depending on how thick your hair is, 4-5 sections should be sufficient to get a good straight style. If you don't have time to do this in the AM, do it at night before bed and you will only have to touch it up in the morning with the blow dryer. No need to rewet it. The paddle brush and hair dryer will reform your dry hair.

I bought a really good one from walmart for about 20 bucks, and why would you pay 600 dollars for a straightener? That's insane!! But don't worry, you can buy one, or blow dry your hair brushing it repeatedly. And if you think about it, you don't neccesarily have to straighten it, there are other styles out there.

there is deffintily a fashion. what you need to do is take a bathtub, or moist you hair completley. then take certainly one of them cylinder brushes you comprehend those with pricks all over the cylender. n take a hair blow dryer and utilising the comb start up from the precise slowly brush by using hair with the blow dryer on the different facet. do this untill your hair is completley dry and it sounds as though so plenty greater effectual then straightening your hair with a straightener.

Well I can tell you if you paid that much money for a straightner someone just abused you! You need to go to a hair salon I know Trade Secret has them, but it is 30 bucks and it is called Hot Tools and you need to also get Sebastian Laminates (it is a spray to protect the hair, and to also keep it straight keeps humidity out). I have naturally curly hair and do it straight at times and have used straightners that were over 200 dollars and they did not keep it as straight it always frizzed up on me. Goodluck and don't waste money on a quick fix!

I remember in the 60's my sister straightening her hair with an iron.
Thank God we don't have to do that anymore. They now make shampoos, conditioners, mouse, gel and other products that will give you the same affect and will now cost as much.

paddle brush and a blow drier, take the paddle brush and pull your hair straight as you blow dry your hair it wont be as straight and it may add volume but it does what you want with out a straightner.......also you could go buy a ceramic straightner from another store and they are just as good for your hair i have one too and if it quit on me being that it cost me $115 i would just go but a cheaper one because they use the cheaper ones in salons (unless you live in Hollywood or NY)

use conditioner. if ur afraid of oily hair, then only apply it to the end. after washing your hair, dry your hair downwards with a hairdryer (bend ur waist and head down). i know this sounds weird but it works perfectly for me.
