People are really over reacting, Everything is the same except the new rule. Laptops were always ok to go through, they are ok now. below I will show the website where you can get all of your information.

I have not flown since their silly new rules. Fortunately, I don't have to. Going on vacation will be a driving experience until the TSA and airport officials quit inconveniencing the general flying public. My guess is that they will let up on the regs sometime around the Thanksgiving holidays. People who don't absolutely have to fly shouldn't.

What I've read in the newspapers and watched from TV news is that laptops, mp3 players and cameras are allowed to be carried.

Nope, no problem at all. Occasionally someone will be asked to turn it on, but normally the X-Ray machine suffices, and it doesn't hurt the computers.

I think they have to let you carry the laptop. Otherwise, it will get damaged the way they throw those bags around.

Trust me - my husband made that stupid mistake and his laptop was damaged.
