I know we keep pillows away to keep from suffication, but when is she old enough to sleep with a pillow? WHEN DID YOU GIVE YOUR CHILD A PILLOW IN BED?

For you, a bed might not be a bed without pillow(,or two,or three) to rest your head on, and a fluffy duvet to cuddle beneath. But for a baby who has slept flat and uncovered on the mattress since birth, pillows and blankets aren't an issue. what she doesn't know can't bother her or keep her up at night. and that just as well. While the time of greater risk for suffocation and SIDS has passed, most experts advised not handling out a pillow until your baby moves to a bed, or somewhere between eighteen and twenty-four months. by then, even the slight remaining risk is gone. Another piece of advice you might consider sleeping on: some experts say sleeping flat is better for anyone - baby and adult

As long as the child is able to move away from other objects (pillow, stuffed animals, blankets) in the crib or bed so they won't smother, you are safe. It is recommended by doctors not to put things in the crib in the infant stage because babies cannot move away from the objects and will suffocate.

I put a pillow in the bed with my own children once they graduated from the crib to a bed. Chiropractors will tell you their head need to stay in alignment with their spine. If the head is shifted too high on a pillow, it really takes a toll on the alignment of the spine. Find out from a doctor or chiropractor what kind of pillow would be good.

When she was 1 year old. But it was "custom made" pillow. :) it means it was very flat, with just a little filling so she couldn't really get suffocated but she still had something to actually hug near her face which she loved and she still loves that - she is 6 now :) and still loves her "flat" pillow. Although I actually change the filling and the fabric few times to keep it fresh but i had to use the same amount of filling and identical fabric. :))

Right about 15 months actually is when I've given my kids pillows, they usually get small ones to start with that aren't real fluffy.

My 19 month old likes to hug a pillow I introduced last month, but she is not sleeping on it yet. I suggest introduce it and she'll sleep on it when she's ready to.
