Well, ild have to say that I have a son that is 9 years old and I also have a 2 year old daughter. With my son I used Huggies cause he had a problem with rashes and couldn't use generic brands at all. I would have loved pampers but they at the time were more money and didn't have the stretch tabs either. Now with my daughter, pampers has the stretch tabs and they are the same price as Huggiess. We use pampers now because with experience with the others, pampers doesn't leave the gel on their bottoms and they are sooo much softer then other diapers. Feels like cotton, and now that my daughter is older, she can tell me what isn't comfortable sometimes. She doesn't complain about her pull ups. I also did find out from my friend that her daughter used to have very awful diaper rashes no matter how often she was changed or cream. Her pediatrician told her that pampers is the only brand that lets the skin breathe the most and keeps the skin a Lil drier then most. Sometimes ill use Huggies, or another brand like walmart, which isn't too bad, but I can really tell the difference. Plus, like that other mom, I love the smell. I didn't like luvs at all cause no matter how hard I try, the tab cuts into her skin. So, if you have the money, Pampers works awesome. If you don't, walmart brand isn't too bad or like white cloud. Those I've found work ok if we're in money trouble. And for checking to see if there wet, ive found that if you pinch the diaper where you know there will be pee and it sqishes like puddy, then its wet. If its dry, your fingers will kindof touch together a lil easier and seem rough inside....hard to explain I guess. Hope it helps.

I think it all depends on the parent, the child and if you have a boy or a girl. We tried Huggies in the beginning with my son and they leaked and had gel like gunk on his bottom. We've been hooked on Pampers swaddlers and Pampers Cruisers since. They don't ever leak (you need to have the correct size or else any diaper will leak), they're soft and work well with him being so active. I have a neighbor who has a girl the same age and they use Huggies and swear by it. Plus they can buy Huggies at Costco. We do use Huggies Overnighters at night though. They're thin and actually hold a lot through the night.

You should probably just try them all and see which ones you like best. We didn't like Luvs b/c they don't have stretchy tabs.

I use huggies in the day time, and pampers at night. You don't want to leave a diaper on too long...baby's get a rash. You need to change them at least every 2 hours. If a diaper is the right size you shouldn't have any leaks

Based on the existing responses, most people go with Pampers, Luvs, or HUggies. It all depends on your child and their active level . I also believe it has to do with gender. Boys leak inside the legs area as well as the top sides. Girls mostly leak all over the bottom. I remember when my little sister was born, brands still had boy and girl diapers focusing on the leakage areas. Now days it seems they've gone for an all-in-one. Personally, I've used EVERY freakin' brand on my VERY active son and I always get leaks... pee AND poo. After a while I just gave up and decided to get the generic Wal-Greens' brand. It worked!!! No leaks, PLUS I don't have to buy separrate overnight diapers. They hold enough to put my son to bed at 7:30pm and get him up at 6:45am. (His schedule). As for wetness: it shouldn't matter how "much" they hold. This is a common ploy to get parents to buy a certain brand. You can't leave a child with a sogging wet diaper for as long as you think. It WILL cause rashes!!! To check if a diaper is wet, just look at it or gently push on the diaper. It should feel a little bit like the lining on the diaper has become gelatenous. It's weird to explain and it didn't make sense when my husband told me with our son; he has a daughter from a previous marriage. But as soon as you check for it and its' there, trust me, you'll know!!! Again, it's hard ot put into words but it's totally foolproof and you won't ever miss it. The best thing to do is buy the smallest bag of several brands and try a different one each week. Good Luck!!!

Pampers is the best because they hold more pee then huggies do and huggies leaves little pee crystals all over the butt. Also Pampers has that nice powder smell to them which makes thier bottom smell a little better and huggies don't have a smell. I have used Pampers for 2 1/2 years and my son has never had one diaper rash.

We use Pampers because Huggies give my daughter a rash. If the child is wearing the correct size diapers, they shouldn't leak. You'll know if they are wet if you feel the front of the diaper -- they will feel a little bulgy.

I like Pampers more than huggies. as far as cheaper brands...the only one i like is the target brand...they are very comparable to pampers at almost half the cost. they dont leak at all. the only problem ive found with them is that the tabs once in a while will rip.

for my daughter pampers leaked she couldnt even go the night when she was 1 year and only half a bottle of milk for bed without the whole bed getting soaked. for my nefew huggies leaked through the night. just try both and see which is better for your child. you will know when the diaper is wet b/c it will feel full

specific, i've got used different diapers that have been given to me, yet i in my view desire huggies. If the diapers are not given to me i will bypass out and only purchase Hugiges, i'm purely choosy! i've got used luvs they carry properly yet in my opinion they run a splash small. i do unlike pampers as a results of fact it form of sounds like they do no longer carry as properly as huggies, and on good of that i exploit the huggies reward codes. So if i purchase, it relatively is strickly huggies!
