I was involved in an accident and the other driver, who caused the accident, does not have insurance. My truck is repairable, but the driver's side and the passenger airbags deployed. Will Geico cover this under their uninsured motorists provision?

Uninsured motorist coverage in most states is for personal injury only. You would have to be in a state that allows for uninsured motorist property damage. Check your policy or call Geico direct.

If you have collision coverage that is always used before uninsured motorist property damage, even if it may be an uninsured motorist claim. It's just paid under that coverage. Each state is different, and some do not offer uninsured for property damage. If the airbags were damaged in the accident, they should be included in your estimate. Report your claim and when the vehicle is appraised you can ask the adjuster about that. If you don't have collision and you're in a state that doesn't provide uninsured motorist property damage, then you would not get paid for any repairs by the company.

Yes if the car is covered under uninsured motorists clause then the air bags are part of the repair.

Ebay might the worst place to seem for those. in case you probably did get some then you definately danger them obstructing the airbag deployment. because of the fact the seat area airbags are a protection merchandise you need to no longer do something that would abate their operation (we are hoping that they are by no potential mandatory yet whilst there's a crash then they could be life savers). no longer in easy terms that yet you danger MOT failure or - worse, the insurance refusing to pay out in case you had an twist of destiny. attempt the key broker and take the hit on the fee, or attempt Halfords and desire they have something on your form. As a final hotel stumble on a pal who's an authority (desires to be very stable) with needle and thread to cut back and hem suitable slots in "elementary" seat covers.
