Ya know living in Phoenix I see alot of illegals everyday and there is one thing about them that I am impressed with when it comes to pan handling, they don't do it! They wait on the street corner all day trying to get a day job, but they do not pan handle. I mean they just don't do it.In reality the pan handlers are always burned out white guys, never Mexicans.

How would I know they were here illegally?

However, for those above who have never seen Hispanics pan handling, they have had a very different experience than I. I just have no clue if they are legal or not. It would seem to be a way to get into trouble, and be visible, so illegals might shun it.

I'd rather they gave us a choice whether to give, by panhandling, than show up and enroll in our schools, to divert important funds from our children, however.

I've seen plenty of people begging for money with signs that say things like "need money for my family" but they are standing at the side of the interstate ramp with a carton of cigarettes & somthing wrapped in a brown paper bag (gee what could that be??) by their feet. Once there was a guy with a sign that said "need money HUNGRY" so I drove by McDonalds, picked him up a burger & fries & handed him to him out the window. He had the audacity to rudely tell me he didn't need fast food, he needed money. So I guess he wasn't too hungry after all, just thirsty for alcohol & drugs probably. I don't think it is necessarily an illigal immigrant problem, although I am definately AGAINST illigal immigration and want them to get the hell out. I think panhandling is more of a substance abuser problem.

I always thought the reason for that is because the illegals can't speak English! Was I wrong?

Angela R....maybe if the vets didn't always get their funding cut, they would have enough money!! That's something people don't realize, the gov. is your best friend when you're active duty and able to serve(u are well looked after), once your not you are put on the back burner and forgotten. And it is both parties that do this to these vets, it makes me truly mad. And sad to say alot of vets from Nam have serious mental issues.....alot of guys were not the same when they came back. (my own Uncle being one of them)

hard to say. your question assumes that the illegal immigrant is identifiable as such without knowing them, which means you're assuming that the illegal immigrant is latino.

if that's what you're really asking, then no, i've never seen a latino panhandling. it's funny to think about it, because i never have thought about it before, but it's true. i've only seen black and white panhandlers around here.

I haven't had anyone "Illegal" ask me for money (that I'm aware of - They generally don't just bring that sort of thing up casually, ya know?) - I have had Vets ask for cash. A lot of bums like to hang out on the off ramps around here.

And if you want people begging for money (and free stuff) online, just visit www.craigslist.org. There are tons of loosers asking for handouts on there.

Believe or not they don't ask anyone for money.

I personally have never been asked for $$ from an illegal alien.

On the other hand I've had our own citizens ask me for money.

When I have, they weren't hispanic that I could tell; they both speak perfect English and write well on their 'cardboard' letting us know they are begging for money. So I cannot tell you if the person was illegal per se; just that if it looks like an American duck, it's probably an American duck.

Bitter, are you impersonating? Why is the chief crying? lol

I've lived in Soutern California for 42 years and I have never seen any Mexicans, legal or otherwise, doing any panhandling ever... it's a pride thing. Thank for helping me notice!!!

However... I do get Blacks and Whites trying to panhandle from me everyday. No lie. I treat them like they are a tranny trying to get me to buy them a drink... NFW !!!

They say that impersonating is the highest form of flattery. You must think very highly of the true princess.

Angela R, I know you aren't so stupid as to say that illegals are better than U.S. veterans. If you are saying that, you are more stupid than I thought. Veterans don't live 30 people per household.
