Who should I contact about filming a corporate video in 3D?

This refers to the type of 3D that requires polorized glasses; not images rendered to look 3D.

Wow,

Your question is kinda broad, so giving a specific answer may not be all that easy, but let me try.

Any 3D rendered video is an animation. Plain and simple. It doesn't have to be cartoony to be concidered an animation. 3D walkthrough environments of houses, offices and even engine parts are still animations.

Next, you have to figure out who the target company is. If you are creating a 3D environment of a gas cylindor for a car, then you are going to want to contact local automotive dealers and part suppliers first. Ask to speak to the person in charge of all marketing.

Set up a way to either send them a demo or meet with them in person to show them a demo. Be sure that if you send them a demo, it's a very brief demo outlinging your talents. It's kinda like a teaser per say, just showcasing what you can do.

Also be sure if it's a person-to-person meeting that you have a list of prices for all range of time-lines. 15sec, 30sec and minutes are usual commercial times (if that's the direction you want to go). Also figure times for 15min, 30min and 1hr segments for use for videos for training, seminars, etc.

If you are going for video presentation, make sure the sample is in DVD format. If you are going for a computer based demonstration, then make sure that the CD created is readable on all CD-ROM drives and that there is no special software needed to view the preview (other than standard windows media player or a self-included video viewer). You want to make it extremely easy for these people to be able to view your sample of work.

Make sure also you include multiple samples. Allow them a variety of work to look at.

Hopefully that helps some... I'm not too much of an expert in the video field so my knowledge is limited.
