One of the first signs is that the nipples become firm and the nipples and surrounding area becomes pink or rosey- usually in about three weeks time. Then you have a choice as to whether or not to allow the pregnancy to continue or to spay your cat.The longer you wait, the less choice you will have because spaying a pregnant cat has a risk to the cat itself. If you wait long enough to find out whether or not your cat is pregnant, and she is, the pregnancy will be well under way.

Take her to a vet. That's the best way to know and to make sure she's healthy. Find a good animal shelter or rescue organization in your area so that, when the kittens are born, you have someone who will make sure that they go a safe, loving home. Then, have your cat spayed. There are millions of unwanted animals in the world. Allowing your cat to have more kittens only adds to the problem.

Keep a close eye on her nipples. When a female is pregnant in the first stages her nipple get firm and little "cakes" form under them. She may be skinny then but within a week or so the weight gain follows. 9 weeks to have kitties at your feet. Also, try and let her have them alone and without supervision. In the event of a mishappening, I'm sure she'll call out and let you know.

If she's laying on her stomach that means that she is pregnant. You should take her to the vet and find out if she is or not. If she is the vet will give you way to taking care of her.

gestation lasts an advrage of 61 days.
she will eat more and put on weight, after a while the kittens can be felt (palpeting) but you need to be experienced to know what your feeling for. talk to your vet and arrange an apoitment for an ultra scan, not an x-ray as it can cause deformities in developing fetus's.
and you should get her spayed after all of this.

You can feel her abdomen - you can feel the kittens inside of her. A vet can tell you a lot more
