It's better to give them real cat food for a more balanced diet.

Canned tuna will not hurt your cat. The soybean oil can help with the animal's fur as well as drive him crazy. Most cat's love tuna as a treat. As on only source of food I'd have to say that tuna is not the thing to every day feed a cat because a cat's body needs other types of nutrients found in basic cat food. Science Diet is a great food to feed the cat but keep the tuna just in case he's been a really good kittie.

A little is OK, as long as it is a treat and not a meal.
It lacks a chemical that is vital to cat health. If the eat more tuna than anything else they get sick. This is rare though and mostly from eating nothing but tuna for years.
Cat food tuna is mixed with other things and is fine to give them.

I feed my cats canned tuna every once in a while as a special treat. They LOVE the stuff but I would not recommend getting in the habit of feeding them tuna because then they're going to want it all the time.

It makes a good treat for them. Cat food is better for overall meals but every once in a while tuna will give them something to look forward to. I have found from experience they really like the water included in the tuna and will usually drink this up before starting on the meat. Gotta warn you, if you start giving them canned tuna, any time you start to open canned food they will be all over you trying to figure out if it is tuna for them.

I feed my cat canned Tuna occasionally (maybe once or twice a week - and just a small portion; also, it's very salty so give it a rinse in cold water first), as a treat, and he loves it & no ill effects. But it's important that your cat has a steady diet of regular cat food, both wet and dry cat foods, to get all of the nutrients they need. My cat is a very healthy, happy cat! and gets very excited when I treat him with Tuna. So go for it, and make your cat happy!

Each cat is different. It is OK unless your cat reacts badly to it. When you first feed kitty some tuna, watch her for a bit and if she's OK, she'll love you for it! My cat bugs me all the time for tuna but I only give it to him about once or twice a week and then only half a can at a time.

Once in a while as a treat should be fine. You can also try draining the tuna water into bowls and letting them drink that. My cats come running when someone's making tuna salad.

It is okay to give cats canned tuna once in a while, but not very often. Tuna, salmon, and other fish are actually not very good for a cat's urinary tract. I "treat" my cats with tuna only about once a month and stick to beef, chicken, lamb, and turkey the rest of the time.

Just like everyone else I give my cats Tune for a treat or if I have to get more food at the store. They LOVE it and the vet said its fine but not as their staple. We eat a lot of tuna in my house so we always have it handy. Just mae sure its packed in water. Don't get flavored Tuna that has lemon in it. And make sure your drain it. If you can rinse it as well.

I've got 14 cats, they are very fond of tuna, it is a little more expensive than canned cat food but it's worth it, do you know what goes into cat food. It's not all good ,but oddley the cats still like most of it. One thing about my cats is that they don't like tuna all the time, they like some variety in their meals, they like dry food also, so we try and give them that too..
