Even if prayer actually made a difference, there would be too many Christians like Jerry Falwell *wishing* that more gays would contract AIDS and die, so it would be a battle of wills on that point: the evangelical dolts against the compassionate people.

I wouldn't be surprised if Falwell types include a thank you in their nightly prayers for what they see as "divine retribution" against people they don't like.

None of the above.

We should carelessly spread the virus, so that the next generation will be the offspring of those who had the genes for immunity to the virus.

That is the way to eradicate AIDS. Let the people who need a cure for it die off.

Scientific research. Belief in Jesus can help those suffering from the affliction to get through it, but faith in Jesus keeping you well is like running in front of a bus because you assume Jesus will stop the bus. It doesn't work that way.

OH AND BY THE WAY WHEN WE DIE THAT KNOWLEDGE STAYS HERE.

Praying for an end of Aids can help lead the researchers.

Living like Jesus wants us to would slow down the rate that it is spreading.

(I am not saying that AIDS is a punishment from God)

Peace!

Well, duh. Scientific research. That doesn't mean you should not pursue Christ!

Look, if you want "wheat" you plant "wheat" -- if you want "corn" you plant "corn" and if you want "cows" you raise "cows" ... that's the rule of the farm!

I've never met a farmer yet who planted wheat, but corn came up instead!

You want scientific results? Study science. You want spiritual results? Study spirituality.

Why not study both?
