Wouldn't that have just let us all off the hook? So we wouldn't have to worry about getting saved and asking forgiveness and all that?

And besides, you can just imagine, that if Jesus Himself did sin, it would have to have been for the stupidest little thing (jaywalking for example, or chewing gum in class). We might all end up in Hell because Jesus failed to save us, but at least Jesus Himself would own a high stake in Hell. With Jesus there, Hell wouldn't be quite as bad as it is now, and although we couldn't all be forgiven of our sins, we could at least be "let off the hook," and Jesus would probably spend eternity telling us how sorry he was for not being able to save us, etc., etc., and at least we wouldn't have to go to church on Sunday or feel guilty about anything....

Can you dig it?

1) No, I don't.

2) No, we wouldn't be off the hook. If Jesus had sinned, we would have no salvation--that much is true. But the down side of that is that we would have no salvation. Jesus could have sinned, as he was tempted. Had he failed to save the world, God the Father would have no mercy for us, as our ransom would be unpaid.

3) Jaywalking is not a sin. Neither is chewing gum in class. These are infractions of traffic and school law, not sins.

4) If Jesus were in Hell, it wouldn't be any better of a place. It would be Hell. No one owns it but the lord of darkness. No one gets a "stake" in Hell but Satan.

If the creator has the right to destroy his own creation, and if Jesus is the son of God without whom nothing was created, then it isn't possible for Jesus to sin by this logic, since he could not steal from himself or affect anything that wasn't his to do with as he pleased.
Barring that, as the story goes, Jesus went to hell in our stead and claimed power over that realm also, he can't get a higher seat, but he also has the highest seat in heaven. Why would he change that? So you can take the easy way out and be justified for it? If it is so much trouble "worrying about having to be saved" you can always save yourself if you think that'd be easier. Or you can always just go to hell anyway, just don't think you're going to have it your way with Jesus babysitting you there.

If God would have sinned he still would have gone to heaven. Just because you sin don't mean your ganna die and go to hell. No one is perfect we all have our flaws and mess up every once in awhile. But God died to save us not himself. He didn't need to save himself. We are the ones who don't even deserve to live our lives as if it bever happened. But yet some people do. Instead of questioning why he died for you as if it were a bad thing thank him because he loved you enough to get tortured and hung on a cross to be criticized for you! Love him for what he did for you don't hate him.

Chewing gum in class?

He busted up a perfectly legal market in temple...what do you mean he never sinned if you think chewing gum is a sin?

You are a dope. You rather have somebody saying sorry to you than actually being saved....man you must have serious mental issues.

that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. First of all, no one says you have to be good! That is YOUR choice! Secondly, you don't have to go to church... If you are being forced to go to church against your will, then there is no point of going. And not everyone feels guilty for the things they do wrong by the way... that feeling is felt by those who understand right from wrong, and want to change.

Well, since you have all the answers, why
cry about it now? If you don't like some
thing or someone, just say it!!! Or better
yet,let it go!
This is 2006 now,and speech is still free
so far,right?
I don't like what you wrote,but I don't feel
that I should have to have a fit over it simply
because someone is different,so why do you
get all twisted over something you claim you
don't accept?
makes no sense at all!!!

Sin does not exist. God does not judge you for living your life and learning from your experiences. This is why we are put here, to learn from the situations that we are confronted with. God does not judge us for doing what is expected of us. God loves us just as much when we are making mistakes because He know that eventually these mistakes will lead us to the truth.

Love and blessings
don.

Yes we would! We'd still be just as much in need of a Savior -- and we'd still be waiting for one!
