I had major falls from horses over the past few yr's and now suffer from frozen shoulders. I get it in both of them intermitantly, especially when the weather damp...it drives me insane and I usually have to have the dreaded 1/4 zone jabs, last time I had it in my left shoulder I had to have 5 in one go as it was that bad.

Think I got mine in a car crash when I was hit side on but no immediate problems. For 2 years it has been getting worse and the doctor gave me the cortisone injections. That made it much better but not completely. When I returned to England for a 2 week holiday I called into the School of Osteopathy where I used to live and they gave me 3 treatments while I was there and it was brilliant. Better than the injections but now 6 months on I can feel it starting again which means I need more treatment but I definitely recommend the osteopath.

Ask your GP to refer you to a physiotherapist who can give you exercises to do to strengthen your shoulder muscles and keep them supple. Failign that ask to be referred to a Rheumatologist for an expert opinion.

My wife does (not as bad as you though) she get the shots maybe 2 times a year. (this last year wasn't as bad only went once.) She also sees a physical therapist (monthly) and does her therapy every day at home.

Perhaps, you could have your Dr. prescribe Prednison pak for awhile. That got rid of my pain completely.
