Keep calling Sears repair. We had the same problem on a new HE washer from Kenmore and they replaced the pump several times at no charge to us. Eventually they told us the pump was a bad design and recalled and they were replacing all the pumps with a different design. They put it in and we have had no problems since. If you have a high efficiency washer you need to use high efficiency detergent. It will have a big HE on the side of the bottle.
Call Sears and let them know you may need your pump replaced with the updated design.

Get a big bucket and take the end of the drain hose and put it in the bucket to let it drain out most of the water. Put the drain hose back on the standpipe. Try again on the spin cycle. The spin cycle uses centrifugal force to extract the water from the clothes and then the pump should be able to get it out through the drain hose. If the cycle finishes and the clothes are still too soggy, there is a problem in the pump. If the spin won't work, even with most of the water out, you probably have a belt failure. (If the water won't go down the pipe, but instead goes all over the floor, your standpipe and/or drain needs to be unclogged. Call a plumber) Let's hope it's the belt, because it's cheaper, but either way, you will probably need to call the repair guy.

I had the same proble last year. I had to call sears home repair. It turned out to be the control dial, which was still under warrantee. The actual part is easy to change, but the technitian had to test other possibilities first.

Check your hose coming out of the machine, maybe it has a kink and can't drain the water.
