Mostly you won't be aware.

Some conditions are very painful (eg. urine infection or kidney stone)

Some conditions are very subtle and will only sneak up on you.

- burning and stinging to pass water / going to the toilet frequently / fevers, chills, poor appetite

- retaining fluid, urine froths up in the toilet when you urinate, generally feeling unwell

- blood in your urine

- pain in the back - one side or the other - particularly pain going down to your groin
