There was a question posted by Larry about why Christians try to 'convert' others to Christianity since the Holy Bible says plainly that only 144,000 people are going to heaven.
Indeed the Bible does say that "an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel" have their names sealed and are granted passage to Heaven (of course, I'm paraphrasing). What you left out, oh questioner, is that just after that in Revelation Chapter 7 verse 9 there is detailed "a great multitude, which no man could number (meaning count), of all nations, and kindred, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb (Jesus) clothed in white robes". Then is verse 13, and elder asks "What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?" which is answered in verse 14 "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb".
Email me back I'm out of space here. Thanks

probably Larry got captured by a Jehovas Witness, they think that it's a 144,000 of them that's going, poor souls. They don't know they are not Jewish

Psalm 37:11
There is a great multitute witch will inherit the earth. Jesus said he has another group,(john 10:16) there are 144,000 that go to heaven and reign with Jesus for 1,000 years, then there is the great multitude that will live on earth. Otherwise, what will the 144,000 be reigning over?
Remember, the bible sais Satan was sent to earth and can no longer go to heaven.(APO 12:7-9). He wil be set free to a final test before being destroyed. Who will he test if there was nobody on earth? If you put all these little common sense things together you will get the answer to your question.

Nope. Those are a special people that will live in New Jerusalem, the city that will come from heaven. The great multitude will live in the outer oart of the city, which will be this Earth after being cleansed by fire from heaven.

A lot of people believe that, and I think it is popular because the JW's constantly talk about it. The truth is the JW's aren't from the Israel tribe, so people get confused. That is why it is important when reading the Bible to read the whole chapter, and not just the one verse. Better yet read it from cover to cover, a lot of truths will be revealed.

These are the elect of God, Rom 11:4 "But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to [the image of] Baal."
Everyone goes to Heaven, there is where the Judge is at; God.
Ecclesiastes 12:
6"Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern."
7"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."
Where ever God is at, there is Heaven.
I think you better reconsider your studies. Ask God for guidance.
I hope you don't believe in the "rapture".

These people who come out of the great tribulation, are definitely on EARTH, as the earth is also before God's throne. Verse 15 says God will spread his TENT over them, and verse 17 says the Lamb will guide them to fountains of waters of life, and God will wipe out every tear from their eyes.
This corresponds to Rev. 21:3,4 which also says the tent of God is with MANKIND, and his TENT will be with them, and that God will reside with them, and they will be his PEOPLES. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away.
If they were in heaven they would not have to be guided to fountains of water of life, that is new scrolls, words of God.
Revelation 22:1 And I saw a river of water of life, ..flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb....there were trees of life producing ...fruit..and the leaves of the trees were for the CURING of the NATIONS.
The heavenly ones do not need curing, they are immortal; 1Corinthians 15:53,54.

The 144,000 is yet another thing convoluted by the JW's. There are SO many more from that cult. Look here, just down the page a bit...
