If I mix slices of grapefruit with porridge (made of milk and water) will the grapefruit curdle the milk and turn it bad?

I think it's the acid in citrus fruit that curdles the milk. It won't make you sick, you can still eat it, but it does look unappetising. Drain the juice before you add it and you'll prob be fine.

The acid in the grapefruit will curdle the milk but it will not change to taste and other than appearance will do no harm.

Yes, grape fruit juice will make milk curdle because it is acidic and coagulates the protein in the milk. However this curdling is not due to growth of bacteria and the milk will be perfectly good to drink.

I would think so. It's the acid. Lemon or lime definitely curdles milk.

Not if you eat it fast.. if you left it for a while it would.. citrus fruits tend to do that to milk.
Wonder why it is called Grapefruit when it is a cross between an orange and a lemon.
