When Big Brother is on, the best line is, "Do you watch Big Brother?". Even if someone doesn't watch it they've usually got an opinion on it and it's guaranteed to start a conversation.
Do you mean just to get talking to someone or to chat someone up? Big difference!

When I worked in a bar a guy, stuck his hand in his drink pulled out the ice cubes and chucked them on the floor smashing them every where! (I wasn't happy - cos I had to clean it up!)
He then turned around and said, "Right that's the Ice broken, fancy a date?"
I think this is a good way to do it if you are brave and want to make a dramatic and memorable first impression - however would not be a good way to conduct interviews! lol! It's depends on your situation.

a mumbled "big boobs" and when i said what did you say--i heard him clearly but was flabbergasted that he said that and wanted to make sure he replied "i said you hair looks nice"
