i would just ask about everyday things in life, it gives you something to tlak about and you learn more about the other, dont bring up weird things all that time like "what if.. blah blah" sometimes its ok, but not every single time.. at least thats what i think =p

I normally talk to them about sports or ask him what he does for a living or if your in school ask him what subjects he is taking.
