may I be more clear with the main point of the question... why does satan torture evil souls, surley he should recruite them into his evil army fo fight god so why doesn't god forgive sinners and finally defeat satan, or even put sinners in purgatory so evil can't get hold of them, this whole good/evil war is surley gods poor planning or as I said earlier is god/satan just a schizophrenic that wrote a childs story.
come on christians, fight your corner, satanists too. LETS CLEAR THIS UP...
NOW. athiests please say your piece, please.

if I "REPENT" and accept "JESUS" and I am "FORGIVEN" for my "SINS" and promote a "LIE" does that not make me a "HYPOCRITE"? nothing will change so "GOD" can kiss my "HOLY A55"!!!
what if I am without "SIN" and I have been "SINNED" against may I have "HOLY VENGEANCE" like "GOD"?
take your "GOD" and your "BIBLE" and "SHOVE IT WHERE THE HOLY LIGHT DON'T SHINE"!!!
nothing to repent and nothing to confess.
religion is blind.

Your mistaken on a few points.
A true Christian is not afraid of hell. They don't try and be good to keep from going to hell. Once they accept christ as their savior then Hell is closed off forever. They try and do Good to glorify a loving god and love others into a saving knowledge of Christ.

Also in a way satan does award sinners, he can effect their life in such away as they feel no need for god. So life seems good, there's no need for a loving savior. Sadly though that reward is a deception that leads to Hell.

God and satan are not one. People who don't study the bible think that God and Satan have similar powers. Satan is a fallen angel and has no more power than any other angel. God is omnipresent, meaning he is everywhere at all times, were satan is not, he is not everywhere, he has the other fallen angels that work through out the world. But does not have even close the power of God. God knows Satan's future, because for God there is no time. Satan doesn't know his future, for time for him is like for us. Also God is the creator, Satan is but a fallen creation.

To many people think that you earn your way to heaven, most if not all other religions other than Christianity teach this. But Christianity teaches that, we can't save ourselves. If we can't save ourselves, then no amount of good living or good deeds will save us. We have sinned, when Jesus came as a man, He was without sin. So he sinless , paid for our sin by dying. Belief in that is what saves us. We are called to good works as we live out our purpose in Christ. For you and I were created with a purpose

Hello,i will not preach but i hope my answer will be very simple.Let God be true and man a liar.If your government punishes you for not paying your taxes or for stealing or raping someone,is your government evil? Why is it we obey the laws of our land carefully and fearfully because we know the out come of not following the rules but with God it is different? We love democracy because it gives us freedom to live, choose and so on but God gave us freedom to choose between good and evil and He said choose good for this is better.Yet people are woundering, why is it so?
He is a caring and loving God and no dictator that is why.
The bible is not wrong, you can only understand it through His annointing and it will lead you into all truth.
Religion is not the answer but Jesus is the way,the truth and life.Jesus came for everyone including you and me,prostitutes, murderers, gays, thieves, terrorists, christains, moslems, jews and so on,For we are all sinners and He said the kingdom of God is at hand or the kingdom has come to man or it is near.So if you are religious and you always do good but you did not accept Christ as your Lord and saviour, that He died for our sins although you have heard of Him,you are not saved. But if you are good and you are without sin or evil deeds although you never heard of Jesus you will be judged according to your deeds.
God is a fair judge so if you know the law,you will be judged according to it and if you don't know the law and the prophets you will be judged without the law.God is the creator of everthing including the angels, human race, animals the universe and so on.He made a law;if you sin you will die and on the seventh day He rested. That means, He has done everything He had to do with creation. So what we are experiencing now are the effects of obeying or disobeying His laws.It is like compound interest. You paid once say $50000 and left it for forty years, does that mean you are still paying the amont monthly because it is appreciating? No,So it is with creation and God.God is the creator not devil. And He gave us a name Jesus Christ His son as the judge of mankind and spirit and there is no other way given to man for salvation apart form Jesus Christ.
Now satan can only tempt you or trick you to sin and to be tempted does not mean you have sinned. You sin when you give in or fall for the temptation.Jesus too was tempted but He lived without sin here on earth.People go to hell because they broke the laws of God just like a criminal is imprisoned for breaking the law of the land.So please repent or change your former ways and accept Christ as your saviour proclaimimg He came ,died and after three days God raised from the dead.Jesus is the only way to paradise and not religion.

I think people in general have a hard time understanding the universe and that things should be in balance. If you look at ancient philosophies they define yin and yang as 'positive' and 'negative'. Unfortunately people regard 'negative' with bad, horrible, satanic, etc... And that's not the case. The negative also means cold, light and dark in opposition to warm, heavy and light. It doesn't mean that yin is worse than yang or yang is worse than yin. Satan is therefore not worse than God. If god is the yin then Satan is the yang or vice versa. If one rewards the other punishes, that's how it should be, that's how it is in balance. If you were not punished for sins then things go out of balance, again, if you are not rewarded for your efforts, ill-balance occurs. So Satan should not be any more evil than God. Each one just does his/her job.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Satan punishes slightly evil souls. They are the ones who are ordered around like slaves and do his bidding.

Actually, the more evil you are in hell, the better off you fair. You could even get to be a minion one day. It's a lot like a Pyramid Scheme, or multi-level marketing. Once you're in the know you can really work your way up.

In hell, it's not goodness that will ease your suffering, but totally indulgence in pure evil.

Yup, as usual, a perfectly straightforward question is met with a load of nonsensical answers by the Christians. It's almost as if they're pretending to have misread the question so they can avoid answering it.
In theory, the devil would say, "Hang on a minute, why am I working my ars.e off tormenting souls for the sake of my enemy. I'm just going to sit here and read a good book with a cold beer. Everyone just do what you want, make yourselves at home."
For all we know, Satan spends his days making comfy chairs and producing big bars of chocolate for everyone who goes to hell. And it can't be all bad, at least there aren't any Christians there - now that's my idea of heaven.

Satan & God are 2 sides of the same coin. This is duality. If god takes the good then Satan has to take the bad. If god rewards then satan punishes. Hope this makes sense.

satan was sent to hell as punishment but rules hell. when people go to hell he has control over them. its a bit like the hard nut in jail tormenting the other inmates. he's just making the best of a bad situation.
since it is god who condemns people to hell, often for minor transgressions perhaps it is god who is evil. after all what kind of man sends people into the firery pits of hell for all eternity just because they commited a tiny little sin.

I think its because Satan enjoys torturing people, so God and Satan made a deal that all evil people belong to Satan and all good people belong to God.
