Try to avoid drinks with color such as coffee and sodas. Also, stay away from tobacco. Make sure that you brush really well with a whitening toothpaste everyday at least 3 times a day. The whitening strips by crest work great!! If you love sodas a lot then try to drink these drinks through a straw to avoid the stains.

The best way is called Zoom and it's done at dentist office's that offer it. Some have specials or payment plans and it cost about 250.00 it's well worth it! You can then get little kits to use at home for down the road. Hope this helps. I have found that nothing in the stores works, although I have heard some good reports of those crest white strips. Good Luck!

What causes your teeth to yellow?
Smoking.
Too much soy sauce in your cooking.
Chewing tobacco.
How to get rid of it?
Stop the above things. visit Your dentist. No other way.
All other methods are a waste of time and money. Don't go around drinking bleach as someone suggested here. See? you get advise that is not worth your time and it is downright dangerous.
Oh, another advise: Never ask Y!A on personal, health related questions. Anyone who answers here are self styled professionals. General q are ok, but health is a serious issue.
I am not a doctor or a dentist. But I have good experience with my professionals because I choose them carefully.

staying away from things that stain the teeth like coffee, sodas, candies, teas.
there's products out there that are gentle on the teeth and will whiten them gradually without bleaching damage.
listerine has a product out now comes in a white bottle, it's a mouth wash, prewash as they call it. i had to try it for a company survey and by jobe it worked wonders.. i had tea stains on the bottom two teeth in the front for years and about a week and a half those stains that i come to love.. died... they were washed out by the peroxide element of the mouthwash.
i wasn't too upset.. i moved on... :D
check it out.
or those lame whitening strips but then your teeth don't look right and sometimes your gums burn.
or see a dentist.. and talk to them about stain removal and other ways to get your teeth a little brighter.
