My daughter's favorite toys at age 2 were her Little People, toy instruments (harmonica, drum, maracas, xylophone, etc.), dolls, and toy kitchen. She's 3 now and still plays with all those things a ton, and I assume she will for a while. My 21-month-old daughter plays with the same things.
Other good ideas are books, wooden puzzles, a doll stroller, train set, blocks, or an outdoor riding toy.
Hope that helps!

My daughter is also turning 2 next month and we are going to be getting her a play kitchen. My parents have one at their house and she loves to "cook". She even makes the water sound when she is "washing" her dishes. Then my parents are gonna get her some accessories to go with the kitchen.....

Love. Material things are just extra. But if you are looking for a toy or something try to find a learning game with animal pictures or something that you can play together.

Silly question, but have you asked her? My son turned 3 in July and when I asked, I was told candles (yup, on the cake - no problem) and marshmallows (he only gets them if we go camping). So, a camping trip with a candle on his icecream. He's happy and so am I (very little cost to this). No point spending lots of money on something she really doesn't want.

Hey. I'm a Christian too. Once I saw your pro, I thought wow. That's great. Well... if she's into Dora The Explorer, get her something like that. Or if it's Elmo, get something with Elmo. Just get something that will have a character that she likes. Maybe... one of those huge carebears. Hope this helps!!!

Kids this age love to do artsy stuff. Paints, markers, and crayons(all washable) are good choices. Try some bath tub crayons and paints too-lots of fun with easy clean up.

Learning toys, dolls (Waterbabies are great and they have Sesame Street ones at Walmart), clothes.
