it might.. I hope he is neutered...
you must make sure you have a way to feed them seperately as he needs adult food and she will need puppy food
NEVER NEVER buy from a pet store - you will pay too much for a low quality pet.. if the new one is from a pet store DONT take her

I am soooooooo jealous of you. I have a male mini dachshund, he is almost a year and a half. I still remember the first day that I got him. He was 8 weeks old. He was soooo little and cute. I could not believe how small he was. Your other dog will be jealous of the new dog. Just make sure to give your old dog plenty of attention and affection to let him know that he is not being replaced. Just let him know that he is still the first. I know it is going to be hard not to give all of your attention to the very cute new puppy. Just make sure you give more attention to the old dog for a while. Then start giving them the same amount of love. I am so happy for you. Good luck with your new puppy.

It may take a few weeks for him to adjust, but in the long run he will be happier.See when you leave your house to do stuff he wont be alone anymore there will be another dog with him.Make sure that you give him him more attention than normal the first few weeks the new puppy is home.Your dogs personality shouldnt change towards humans.Good luck.

It shouldn't. If he's a well adjusted dog he'll welcome a companion. Make sure you still make a fuss over him and do some things only with him, like maybe take him for a car ride without the puppy, play a favourite game with him. When you feed them, feed him first, things like that.
Have fun with your new puppy!

Lucky you !!
Give the old dog as much time as you would the new one , and you should be OK. You must let the old one know he is not being replaced for a new model.

How is he with other dogs? He could be friendly to people and not like other dogs. I don't think he'll have a problem as long as he doesn't mind other dogs, he'll think he has a playmate now.

of course it will change but just if u see either of them start to get frisky(the bad way) seperate them or do like fish and put them in the same room for a coupel of hours w/ a fence in between them.
