allergies have never made me feel like this. I have a cough that I've had for three weeks. It sounds and feels terrible. A couple days ago my throat started hurting. I cannot seem to get enough sleep. I am simply exhausted. I almost fell asleep in my car this morning in the parking garage. I've never felt so run down before. It just feels like so much more than allergies. My doctor prescribed Singulair, a pill for the cough and cough medicine with coedine. He says that I should come back if I don't feel better in 7 to 10 days. I don't think I can take this for another 7 to 10 days. HELP!!!!! Do you think this is allergies?

Ask for a CT scan of your sinuses to rule out a sinus infection. This very commonly causes fatigue and the sore throat most likely is from all the drainage from the sinuses.

I have had a bad cough during allergy season the last three years. I know that it is allergy related because it goes away once my allergen goes (tree pollen mostly). Two years ago it slipped into asthma and I had have a spray so that I could breath. I found that my allergies get worse when I am under stress situations. Try the pill and try to calm down. It helped me.

I read a story about a woman who was experiencing the symptoms you are experiencing. She had to go to 23 different doctors before they found out what was wrong with her. She had Celiac Disease or it is also known as gluten intolerance. Just ask your doctor about it. It could be what is wrong with you.
