Only ugly or overweight people shop online for a date. If you're not ugly or overweight, they'd be able to get a date the traditional way.

You cant know for sure until you meet, spend time together and get to know each other really well. Dont rush, if you have found your soulmate time wont make a difference except to make it better! I met my partner on an online dating site, we met within a week and have now been together for a year and are getting married next month.
It is not only ugly and fat people that use online dating sites, it hard to meet new people when you have a broken marriage behind you. Look on a few sites and you will see many good looking guys and girls looking to find a special someone.

It could happen. I don't think you know that it's your "soulmate" for some time. IMO, it is certainly harder to meet your potential "soulmate" once you get older (i.e., past 30). This is because a place like college (grad school) you get the opportunity to meet so many people with a variety of interests. However, when you're somewhat older you might know more of what you want out of a relationship (and so does the other person), and just maybe what you both truly want is in sync. Conversely, people are more set in their ways as they get older as well. Getting back to internet dating.... I think it becomes a popular avenue for people (who are not into the bar scene) to meet a partner and hopefully a soulmate. There are many websites for dating which focus on specific interests (i.e., outdoor enthusiasts) or life situations (i.e., single parents with children), backgrounds (i.e., ethnic, religious).

I did. I met him in a yahoo chat. Unfortunately, he died Jan 30, 2006. Some jerk decided to raise hell on a snowmobile and he died instantly. I currently am in a new relationship..I too met him on-line. I met him in yahoo personals. Things are going well and I think that things will soon fall into place. I have been with him for over 1 year now. Do not believe all the negative you hear. Trust your judgment and be sure to ask a whole lot of questions. I think you will be surprised. Good luck!

Yes, I know you can. You can find them anywhere so why not online. I didn't have time to date and I am a little shy so I went online and BAM a few months later I met a wonderful woman and now we're married and living happily ever after.
