I have a 6 and 1 yr old. they are 5 yrs and 2 months apart. I had a miscarriage in 2004. My hubby and I had been trying, but had been unsuccessful. I would like to have another in about 2 years.

Four and a half years. The reason was actually out of my hands as I had a late miscarriage (second trimester) on my second pregnancy and didn't have the heart to do it again for a while. However, the age gap has been great. The oldest never seemed to feel like she was in competition with the youngest so when they were small, this was great. They are far enough apart that they only attended the same school for a couple of years. We won't have two in college at the same time.

They are close enough that they could play together but far enough apart that they didn't feel like they were stuck together. They fight like all sisters but it's considerably less than many closer-aged siblings. It's been a pleasure being their parent because I don't really feel like our kids are creating turf wars with each other or us.

I have two kids, 8 and 2 years old. I know they are pretty far apart, but I had my first when I was thirteen!!! I think having another in a year or two after that would be a bit much!!! We thought about having another when our second was 3 or 4, but I think I've had a change of heart!!!! I have a hard enough time with the two I have now, so at the moment I don't think I want anymore!

I have a step-son who's 9 my daughter she's 5, my baby boy he's 20 months and a baby on a way I'm almost 4 months. All the kids are from December not planned to be from December since the two oldest are one mine & one his so just a coinsidence & the baby he was planned to be born but it was a suerprise when we find out & so our baby on the way we don't know yet if it's a boy or girl but it is expected to be born on February... so our first are 4 years apart & they do get along well, of course they fight once in a while but it is normal .. We were planning on having our next in four mpnths but God send it before & it's good we are still very Happy!!!!

My older kids are 1 year and 11 months apart, (12 &10) and then my baby is 4 years old. I know, quite an age difference there but couldn't be happier. I had my last son because I had finally found the love of my life (my husband!)
Had we met earlier we probably would have had a couple more children because we work great together as parents. But, now "I am retired from having babies"!

my kids are 13, 12, 10 and 9 and a half months!! the reason???
after I divorced my 1st husband for his continued cheating. abuse and drug using, I thought I would never find another man that I could be with. I was protecting me and the older kids from being hurt again. But, when I met my hubby, I knew there was something special. he is an amazing man that doesn't even raise his voice. he doesn't drink, do drugs or believe in cheating. HE IS ONE OF A KIND!!!! he had no kids when we met and said he would love to add to the family so, we had our son on Oct 21st, 2005. and all of us are happy. there are a few tense moments with the older kids but, we all work through it and so far, so good.

I have 2 children and they are 2 years apart. I think it is a perfect age gap. They aren't too far apart to not want to play together, yet they aren't so close together that I had 2 in diapers at the same time or didn't have time to let my body recover in between pregnancies.

My oldest is 11 and my middle child is 9. They are 19 months apart. The second one came quicker than I expected, but that was ok. My third is almost 3. We tried and tried, but it was Gods will that there be a stretch of time. It was a good thing too because the older two are so helpful.

my sons are 10 and 2. i didn't want 2 kids in diapers and completly depedent on me . i 'm a stay at home mom and i knew that would be to much stress on me and i could'nt give each kid the one on one time they would desire. plus my mom had my brothers a year apart a fromday one thay have not gotten along.this way my older son understood more of why a baby needed more attention. he's been a perfect and brother and they are very close
