found some of the best jewelry I have seen at pawnshops for very cheap prices. It is amazing what people get rid of to get some quick cash. You might even be able to offer them a trade.

You should explain to her that even though you would love to, you cannot give her all the things she desires whenever she wants them. Some things take time and patience and involve earning money.
I'm sure your wife would respect that you are 'skint' and would understand that at this moment in time, you may not be able to purchase the materialistic gift of her desires.
If you have trouble explaining this to her, and are still hell-bent on getting her that 'Pearly necklace' then I suggest you don't break the bank in order to satisfy her needs - go to a local, small jewelry shop as they have many items on offer at prices that are slashed in comparison to high street stores.
If your wife wishes to have a pearl necklace right away, and if you are to get her one right away, she must be prepared to receive a necklace that looks as though it were made right away.

Does "skint" mean you are a skinflint a.k.a. cheapskate? Go to a pawn shop for pearls. Read a guidance manual if you mean a pearl necklace.

there are beautiful natural pearls that are not the extermely expensive ones .. go to a new age store and ask there you may be surprised ... I'm wearing real pearl myself and they are so pretty iridescent but they are not the round pearlywhite of glamour actress .. do not go mad over this give her the real thing without spending astronomical numbers !

she's not talking about jewelry. A pearl necklace is when the man comes all over the woman's chest and "neck" and breasts. I can't believe how few ppl knew this.
