I was just reading an article about this. It is on the increase but not an epidemic by true definition. The article discussed community acquired MRSA on the rise. MRSA was always seen as a hospital infection

Nah it only effects people who dont finish up with their antibiotics. But it is very contagious and needs a stronger antibiotic than what was used. To say an epidemic, the epidemic would have to involve 3 or more patients & staff at a facility or a family that infects a commuity so on and so on. Also it is attacking circumcised boys when given the procedure at young age

MRSA has been at "epidemic" levels for 10+ years because it's a sneaky little sucker that's hard to treat.

i don't know about epidemic, but it is very hard to diagnose and treat. one nurse told my mom she had it, and another said she didn't.... who knows.
