Women initiate 93% of divorces; are they ever going to take responsibility and stop trying to blame the dad for leaving? How can fathers be leaving when it's women who do the divorcing? Dictionary time ladies.

I do not see why men ever get married in the first place. It is totally loaded for the woman, the man gets nothing out of a marriage he couldn't get from staying single other than breakfasts at home which can be made up for easily enough. Oh he does get to pay the wife's bills and then give her half of everything he owns when she decides to move on.

Ok then try this little article I just pulled up for you on WHY women divorce men {Also, the higher rate of women initiators is probably due to the fact that men are more likely to be "badly behaved." Husbands, for example, are more likely than wives to have problems with drinking, drug abuse, and infidelity.} HMMMM!! Gee I don't know but "SCIENTIFICALLY" sounds like to me MEN are the CAUSE of divorce, but I guess we could just relieve ourselves of ANY morals and cheat, lie, grab onto a couple drug or alcohol problems and see how ALL the men like it, you think? (wonder how long it would be before THEY file for divorce)
But honestly, I take it you were just divorced by your wife and I'm sure she ran down and filed for no reason? She was just in the mood for a change and she decided you didn't fit into the "new her"? AND I'll be the first to tell you I'm a divorcee and I have never told my children what an ignorant, self centered, egotistical A** their Father(?) (if you can call alot of men that) As a matter of fact for the time being since the WONDERFUL man I divorced for NO reason doesn't CALL, come see them, send any cards or birthday/christmas gifts, I MAIL them a birthday and Christmas card with money (and still hold up my end) in HIS name and say that on the occasion he called but they weren't in, AND I do this ALL so my children arent hurt or feeling rejected. But God I would definitely LOVE nothing more than to get a hold of him and choke his puny little neck for the MENTAL abuse he would cause them IF I let him!!!!!!!!! So please before you go trying to make women sound so awful think of HOW MANY dead beat Father's walk the face of the earth. Oh and as for why we divorce ? I'ld say because it's just another "responsibilty that the man DIDN'T want to take let alone PAYING for it GEESH!!!!

Thats a pretty ignorant question/ comment. Just because women initiate a divorce, doesn't mean its her fault. It certainly wouldn't be the womans fault if the man were cheating or decided to leave her. It just means that women are a hell of a lot less tolerant than men are and feel the need to end a bad situation. Reality check bro.

How is it that you think that they aren't taking responsibility?, did you ever stop to think that they might be doing it out of responsibility to themselves, their children, and their partner?, women aren't stupid,as much as it seems that you think they are, they can see when their partner isn't happy, and when a woman isn't happy herself, then why on earth would she let a marriage continue, when she knows its not working for either party???...........And what on earth has it got to do with fathers leaving? Look back over your question my friend, i think you need to look a little further into this subject before sprouting your blame all over the place, also try putting yourself in the position of someone that actually has to go through this process, believe me it isn't an easily made decision, its one that takes much deliberation and much thought and unless you have ever been in the shoes of the mother/woman going through this i don't think you really know what you are talking about.

But it's 93% of the men that are doing the cheating, the women just get fed up and initiate the divorce on paper, but it's really the man's negligence that starts the whole divorce talk.

It’s always someone fault, men don’t really file because of things like child support and alimony… most of what I seen is he men do the first thing to mess it up then the women does it back for the next 5 years for “pay backs”

Other then that it’s normally a money thing, like an unemployed women thinking she deserves a better life then she has but refuses to work for it

If the man leaves and doesn't care about the oath, what is the woman supposed to do? Get a divorce. Sometimes, probably a lot of the time, it's the woman that causes it but many times the woman has to initiate the divorce PROCESS because she has to pick up the broken pieces and move on.

Maybe women are divorcing men because THEY LEFT and abandoned their responsibility. I left and filed for divorce from my first husband because he was abusive and I wished he would have left.

On a side note, my husband left his first wife because she was getting drunk and passing out in bars leaving their son in the car the whole time while he was at work. So, he filed for divorce first.

It's because they think they're going to put the screws to their husband, who they're ticked off at for whatever reason. Thing is, they'd cause a lot more grief by just sticking with it. If the wife thinks SHE's the only one who wished they lived alone, she should think again. Divorce from a worthless, lazy wife who spends the day chatting on the phone and playing cards is just what the doctor ordered for a husband who works his butt off 12 hours a day and weekends to pay for all the bills his wife piles up. Like the rabbit once said "Please don't throw me in the there briar patch".

where do you get your statistics from, women are not the only ones filing for divorces. and if people would quit cheating on each other and communicate better then it probably would not happen. a lot of people think they can have their cake and eat it to. if two people can not get along then they should not have gotten together in the first place and if they have a kid well that is not a reason to get married.

Maybe women are finally getting tired of being treated like dogs in the marriage. It was considered normal for a guy back in the OLD DAYS to be able to go out after work without calling and go for drinks with the guys and do whatever with no regaurd to his family. Women don't have to put up with that anymore, and they never should have in the first place. It takes two people to screw up a marriage, so it is not all the woman's fault. More men cheat in marriages than women and they are also tired of putting up with that.
