Diet coke has no sugar, it has aspartame instead, an artificial sweetner. Diet coke also has no calories whereas regular coke is loaded with sugar and calories.

One of the actual difference between coke and diet coke is A can of Coke classic sinks while a can of diet Coke floats. this is because of the sugar effect in density.
