With a spray...it will preen itself. Avoid drafts. Cover cage until bird is completely dry.

Your bird would love to bathe him/herself. A shallow pan of warm water on the bottom of the cage is an inviting lure. I had an umbrella for many years...he ran back & forth on the divider that separates my kitchen sink under a slow trickle of warm water. (I placed a dishcloth on the divider for traction.) I have an orangewing amazon, now, who celebrated his 29th birthday in July. I spray him often--he bathes on his own, in his water cup, just as often--a habit I cannot break.

ALWAYS use lukewarm water...ALWAYS keep cage covered until bird is completely dry.

you may not have room for it, but cockatoos (and most all birds that are originally from austrailia) usually bathe by hopping around in grasses that are still wet from dew. so you can replicate this by placing a tossed salad that has been rinsed and left wet int he bottom of her cage. she'll also eat the greens, so make sure you use spinach or romaine or arugulla, because iceberg is basically just water and will upset the digestive tract. i have a cocketiel and i do this for him about once a week, he loves it! it kinda wastes the salad, because he won't eat it all. i also mist him with a squirt bottle, but he likes the salad best.

You get a squirt bottle and use it to spray your bird with water only. Or if it is tamed you can try allowing it to play in your kitchen sink or take it into the shower with you. They do make SHOW PERCHES you connect to your show wall the bird stands on while you take a bath with it. Alot of people do it. I find with untamed birds though, a water bottle you can spray them with works best keeping the birds cleans.

A shower perch is good if you have the room in the shower for it. Another good thing is to get a spray bottle that has a mist type function...spray it up in the air over your 'too and let it come down on him. If he wants to shower he will spread his wings and do his little "dance" as I like to call it. YOu can adjust the level of the mist as needed.

A spray bottle with clean tepid water. But your bird is going to spread his powder around the house.

get a large water bottle and put it on mist and spray him he will love it or some pet stores have larger bird baths that hook to the cage, so you can remove it when his done.

I have found a shower perch works well with my bird. I put her on the perch in the shower and turn it on, she loves it!

You don't. You give them shallow dish of water sand to dust themselves off. Atleast this is what I have been told.
