I'm dating my soccer coach and we got in a fight the other night. Yesterday at practice he totally ignored me. Was this relationship doomed from the start?

Ummm...yea! Why in the world would you date your soccer coach in the first place? I am so hoping we aren't talking high school here...that would be so off the chart! You need to just back away from that and concentrate on your soccer game.

I guess the biggest thing is how old are you? I mean is this a high school coach or a college coach? Either way, I would suggest (if you can) wait until the off season at least, or when you are done with school that way there will be no conflict of interest. You won't have to worry about him ignoring you - or the flip side- other people getting mad that you are getting special treatment.
Who knows.. I saw a couple on Dr Phil who at one point were coach and student and they met up later on and actually got married. So it could work - it just may take a lot of time.

Wow! it depends. First, how old are you? high school, college? Sometimes in most school they have a no dating policy with the teachers, so if are dating a coach who is under that law, than it was doomed. But a relationship is a relationship regardless of what kind it is. I don't think any relationship is doomed, it is something you have to work at, if you have fought, make a effort to say am sorry and talk it out.

If the coach is high school, this guy needs to go to jail; if it's college he needs to get fired.

Its definitely a bad idea. Youre mixing business and pleasure. In this case youre messing with fire because he is your coach and controls whether you play.

yes because u and have a working relationship.. it's like he's the boss and ur the employee.. do u wanna get fired?? u need to end this asap and try to remain friends for the sake of ur job (athlete)..
